Antighost shit

I just love this pic. Should i make it my background?

Danny gaped at the spot on the ship where his mark should have been. It was gone. Well, it wasn't completely gone. The figure was gone. It wasn't a 'D' anymore. It looked more like a glowing white boomerang now. It was fuzzy and smaller than before.

Danny grabbed Tucker's arm before he could jump and pointed at the white boomerang.

Tucker frowned until he saw what his friend meant. He gasped, "Whoa what. Dude, it's not supposed to do that, right?"

Danny shook his head and snapped his mouth shut. He stomped over to his parents and stopped in front of them. Maddie was busy making sure everyone got to the other side safely.

"Mom!" Danny realised he'd snapped and quickly ammended, "Hey, mom?"

She looked at him, "Yes, sweetie?"

The halfghost pointed, "Why is Phantom's ma- the uuh.. emblem...thingy....gone?"

His mother looked up and smiled, "Why. It seems to be working!"

"What is working?"

Maddie called out to her husband, "Jack. That extra weapon the GIW wanted to add is working!"

Jack's face split into a grin, "Those guys are my pals"

"What is working," Danny asked again, nervous.

Jack looked at him, "My buddies, the GIW, only let us use their money on one condition"

"And...that is?"

"They build the protecting layer surrounding the ship. It has tiny filters that absorb any ghostly energy two meters from it."

Danny paled, "But why didn't the emblem disappear at once. And the ghost from earlier wasn't affected by it"

Maddie saw a few boys messing around and shouted, "Richard! Dash! Stop that and get in the ship!"

Dash pointed an accusing finger at a grinning Richard, "He started it"

Maddie looked back at her son, "The thing is, Danny. The filters work on power, which they get from the ectoplasm they absorb. The more ectoenergy they absorb, the stronger they get"

She turned and walked towards her husband, leaving behind a terrified Danny.

Tucker appeared next to him and touched his arm, "Dude, you okay? What happened?"

Danny stared at what used to be his mark. He could swear he saw it diminishing. Tucker poked him again, "I know why the GIW funded the trip."

Tucker looked at his best friend expectantly and knew this wasn't good news. Danny continued, "They placed ectoenergy absorbing filters on the ship"

Tucker frowned, "But-"

"The more ectoplasm it takes, the stronger it gets"

The dark skinned boy's eyes widened, "...and the more it can absorb," he finished, "Ooh man. This is bad."

Danny finally dragged his eyes from the ship and looked at Tucker, "You think?"

"Boys, back in the ship!" The two boys looked up to see Jack gesturing at them. They realised they were one of the last ones still on the ground.

Danny paled, knowing what that meant. He shook his head fervently, "No. No way. Nononono"

Tucker looked at him pitifully as the blue eyed boy took a step back, "You have to get in, bro. It isn't that strong now. Just.." he didn't really know what to say to calm him down.

Tucker grabbed Danny's arm and tried to drag him in. Danny planted his feet on the ground. "Come on, Danny. You can't just stay here"

Sidney appeared next to them. "What are you doing?"

Tucker ground his teeth as he pulled, "The ship is more antighost than we thought. It absorbs ghostly energy"

Sidney was silent. He glanced at the still resisting halfa, who was now dragging Tucker into the school, "Oh" He stood in front of Danny and pushed him out, "Danny. You can't stay here. Your parents expect you to enter the ship. Wouldn't it be too suspicious if you didn't?"

Everyone was inside by now and looking at the strugling teenagers outside. Maddie leaned out the open door, "Danny. Get in here now!! What are you doing?"

Sam suddenly appeared next to the female ghost hunter and shouted, "Danny!! Get your ass in here. You should have gone to the bathroom before!!"

Danny stopped, making the other two boy's fall down. He sighed defeatedly. There was no way he could keep away from the ship forever. And Sam had just provided him with an excuse. Besides, he had to stay close so he could find a way to turn off the filters before it got strong enough to absorb the whole Ghost Zone.

He cringed when his mother shouted, "There are bathrooms here, sweetie. Just get in here. We're leaving"

He clenched his eyes shut and forced himself to calm down. Tucker stood up and dusted himself off. Then he put an arm around Danny and pushed him towards the awaiting ship, encouraging him silently.

The halfa took a deep breath before floating up, his friend right behind him. "Until we meet again," he heard Sidney say before he reached the door.

Danny pulled himself inside and blushed when he noticed that everyone was staring at him.

"What took so long, Fenturd"

"We're wasting precious time here"

Danny fidgeted a bit and started walking to the bathroom, "Uuh.. haha. Sorry. I guess I'll just go to the bathroom here. Let's just..go. It's ok. Sorry" he blabbered as he walked down the aisle.

When he passed Valerie she looked worried, "Hey. You ok?"

He tried a smile, "Sure. Why wouldn't I be?" That last part was layered with loathing at his fate.

Valerie's lips lowered. Was be mad at her? Before she could ask him, he had closed the door. She sighed and glanced at his misterious best friends. Tucker said something to Sam in the strange glibberish they often talked in. The goth frowned and said something back.

Valerie sighed and leaned back in her chair. She wished she had friends like that. But why was Danny so reluctant to get in the ship? Was it because he was afraid of his parents? Another thought entered her mind.

What had they been talking about with that ghost, Sidney? Danny had said he was afraid of his parents and that they didn't know something.

Plasmius.

He'd mencioned Plasmius. As in Vlad Plasmius or also known as Vlad Masters, the man who had given her the means to become the red huntress. Now, however, she had her own suit. It had come to her when a techno ghost had infiltrated the lab in her father's job.

Why would Danny mention that evil scum?

...but I was using my powers wrong. They're supposed to be for helping people. If I use them for my own personal gain, I might end up like Plasmius

His powers? Valerie stopped to think about that.

The second Danny closed the door to the bathroom he slumped against the wall. He looked around, as if expecting to find tiny mouths sucking the air around him like leeches.

He cringed as his mind unhelpfully provided him with a picture of many green leeches attached to him and growing bigger as they ate away at his body.

He shook his head to rid himself from these thoughts and worked on calming his breathing. Maybe the filters were only on the outside so they wouldn't affect him. And if the filters were also on the inside, then maybe they wouldn't bother him if he was in his human half.

This thought calmed him down and he looked at the small mirror that hung above the sink. He was met with a creased face, full with worry. He rubbed his face with his hands and looked again. He worked on relaxing his muscles and pasting a smile on. It took awhile until the smile wasn't so strained and forced and managed to come by as genuine. Then he unlocked the door and stepped out.

Danny cursed his seat for being all the way at the front and stepped quickly. Sam wanted to say something as he passed but he just wanted to sit down. The seatbelt clipped around him automatically and he nearly shouted.

That cursed thing was antighost too!!! Did it also filter the ectoenergy from the air? Was that why he had a stomachache when he woke up this morning and had no burns?!

Danny's breath came in short gasps. His eyes inspected everything around him. That door could be antighost. And what about the glass on the window! And the floor where his feet were!!

He quickly brought his feet up. He couldn't get enough air and his heart would have won the Olympics if it could leave his body, which is what it seemed to want to do.

Danny was startled when someone gently touched his arm. He looked to be met with the worryfilled face of Sam. "It's ok, Danny."

Danny shook his head. Sam huffed, "Yeah. I guess it's not ok, but you won't get anywhere if you worry"

Tucker leaned in and lay almost draped across Danny's lap, "Yeah, bro. You'll see. I'll use my super techno powers to make it all right. Don't you worry one bit"

Danny chuckled and pushed the boy off him making him fall on the ground with a yelp. Sam smiled, "And don't worry about the class," she added in Ghost, "we'll figure how to get them, and you, home in one piece"

Danny relaxed and smiled, "Yeah. Ok. Thanks guys. I don't know what I would do without you"

"Probably die"

"Or forget to eat"

"Or fail in all classes"

"Fail in life"

"Ok!!! I get it. No need to rub it in. Geez."

The trio were interrupted when Jack shouted, "Alright kids. Stay in your seats and buckle up. We're doing a short flight around."

Andrew spoke up, "Are we going to visit another lair soon?"

Jack grinned, "We will take a half hour break and if we see an interesting lair after that, we can visit it"

Danny called out to him before he could enter the cockpit, "Dad? Can I unbuckle my seatbelt? It's...very uncomfortable and I don't think I'll need it"

Jack hesitated, "Sorry, Danny-boy. It's for your own safety" he patted his son's head but before he could go to his wife he was stopped again.

"Wait. I have a question. About those filters outside the ship. Are they inside too? Do they also absorb ectoenergy from inside the ship?"

Jack smiled, happy to be able to talk to his son about this. Danny always had an interest on the weapons he and Maddie invented. Jack enjoyed these talks because he barely had time to talk to the boy anymore. Either Danny was with his friends or Jack was working.

"Why yes, son. There are filters on the ceiling and on the seatbelts. Although we didn't place too many on the seatbelts because it might affect the kids due to them being on close contact." Jack waited for a second while his son took it all in, then he went to his own seat in the cockpit.

Danny stared at the ceiling in horror, "What am I going to do"

Omgosh. Whattt. Two updates in one day??? Hell yeah!!!
The last one was too short for my liking.
