Side Chapter 1: The Spider Queen

Von's POV

"I don't think you understand, Von. This is more important than your stupid idea. It's all much bigger than your important plan." Yuro said. She was staring at me, seemingly trying to tear me apart with her eyes.

I closed my eyes and leaned back in my chair, "Oh? This should be interesting..."

She growled at me, "Von."

I waited, giving the impression I was thinking about her claim, and then lazily opened one eye at her. She can try and be intimating as she wants, but at the end of the day, she's still and spider, hiding as a little girl.

She punched the table, "God damnit Von! I need it! I can give you so much!" My waiting seemed to piss her off.

I got up from the chair and started for the door, "...Well too bad... it's far out of my hands."

She hurried to run behind me, "No it's not, you just don't want to get it!"

"That is True." Leaving, I could hear her scream at me, 'Come back, I'm not done with you!' Something along those lines. If she was older, she might've actually pissed me off. After walking through the cave, the echoes gave away the fact that she was chasing after me. I sighed and stopped to fix my mask and scarf, waiting for her to catch up. The smell of the old cloth reminded me of my home.

For a few moments, she didn't show. Soon she crawled over, hissing at me. She was in her 'spider form" as she liked to call it. Her many, red eyes were focused on me. Her dark body almost blending in with the cave wall.

"Done hiding as a human Yuro? Now you want to confront me as a spider? If it didn't work before, I doubt it will now." I shrugged, mocking her.

She creeped over, but she kept a distance from me. "I'm not pretending to be a human Von," She responded, "If there's anyone hiding, it's you. Pretending to be human when you're far from one."

I coughed, not being used to speaking this long, "There's a difference in hiding and having a vessel Yuro. I live in this body, it's now mine."

Yuro interrupted, crawling up the wall, "You stole it. You are a intruder hiding in a shell."

"I did steal it, but you use illusions to look human, hiding." I remarked

Yuro started to talk again, "Enough of this pointless banter, where is the ring Von?"

I started to walk out of the room, fixing my sleeves as I left, "It doesn't belong to you, it's mine, I decide what happens to it, not you. You have no right or reason to need the ring."

"If you decide what happens to it, where is it?! It's been years!"

At the entrance of the cave, I turned back at her, "I gave it to a friend. He has been holding on to it for me."

Yuro hissed, "Don't fucking leave Von, I'm not done talking to you!"

I stepped out of the entrance, into the sun, "...And how do you plan to make me stay?"

She hissed, but moved back and herself in the shadows of the cave. Before she completely disappeared, she locked her crimson red eyes on me, then dissapeared.

"I thought so." I muttered before making my way to my home.
