The Phantom and Raoul are having a discussion over how much they both love and trust Christine, when the Phantom brings up a good point...

"Just because I was the man to win Christine's affections does not mean that I must do everything she says, does it?" Erik asked. Raoul nodded. "Yep, that's exactly what it means."

Erik scowled. "So, what, now I'm just supposed to do anything that Christine does? I mean, what if she jumped off a cliff?" He argued. "Well, if Christine were to jump off a cliff, she would've done her due diligence regarding the height of the cliff, the depth of the water, and the angle of the entry. So yes, if you see Christine jump off a cliff, by all means, jump of a cliff." Raoul quipped.

Erik, at this point, was seething. "You jump off a cliff!" He yelled. Raoul smirked. "Gladly. Provided Christine did first."

Christine chose to walk into the room at this inopportune time to see Erik and Raoul attempting to fight one another. "What on earth are you two doing?" She gasped. They both looked up at her with surprised looks, and then glared at each other.

"I think it's time to jump off that cliff now." Raoul sighed.
