[3rd person's POV]
We enter Coast City in the evening, the streets were quiet, the neighborhood was run down and in one of those houses was a young man no older then seventeen or so watching TV in his living room. He was wearing a grey shirt with blue jeans. His eyes were a yellow colour and his hair was grey, long enough to reach down his neck.

"Y/n! Can you go down to the store and get some milk? We're all out." The woman known as Susan L/n said.

The boy known as y/n looked in the direction of the kitchen and called out, "Ok Mom!" and with that he went into the kitchen got the money, put on his black combat boots and leather jacket and left.

"Sometimes, I wonder if I'll be great, just like my dad.." y/n said

[Unknown POV]

I have tried every way to prove that I deserve a green power ring. But my efforts were futile. Right now I was heading into my run-down apratment to rest. Upon arrival, I stumbled across a pale old man with glowing white streaks on him..

I aim my pistol at him "W-who the hell are you?!"

"Calm yourself, Frank Laminski..i just came to talk." The unknown figure said

"You stay calm! You don't know who you're dealing with. I'll shoot you  down. I don't care..and h-how do you know my name?" I demanded

"I have been monitoring you, Frank. Your anger, your fear--your hope. It is like a sqtyustenance to me. As you waste your life, wa1iting for something that will never come." He said

"I'm not wasting my life. I'm not-" Frank stuttered

"Poor you. Sitting here, burnishing your achiebements waiting. Such profound disappointment over the green power ring. There are power rings of all colors and they have to choose you. Except for two. There are two powerful rings in the universe that doesn't have to choose you."

Frank: R-really?

"Yes, but one ring is headed to a different location in a meteorite, while another is held inside a home. The Phantom Rings."

"Phantom Rings?! A power ring...? It doesn't have to choose me? Frank asked in shock

The hooded figure nodded as Frank
began to think to himself.

"This is it. This is what I've been waiting for. I can be big-time." I thought to myself before looking at the hooded figure again "Hey, I've earned this, right? That ring belongs to me! I deserve this!"

The hooded figure continues to acknowledge me and my future plans..

"Finally for real this time. The Phantom Ring is mine. So how should I get it?" added

"I will help you find one, Frank Laminski. I know all about Power rings"

"Billions of years ago, they called me--VOLTHOOM, The First Lantern. If you truly want the phantom ring, Frank--you'll have to take it. From the Green Lanterns.." Volthoom declared

Frank Thinks to myself "See? What'd I tell you? A brighter day is always around the corner. Take it from me"

[Y/n's POV] (15 minutes later)

I was getting back from the store to get milk and a few snacks for myself. Just when I was about to get to the house, i heard a sonic boom in the sky.

"The hell..?" I said looking at the flaming object.

As I said that, a Crystal-like asteroid flew down close and was about to crash into me. Using my quick instincts, I backfliped away a few meters from it as it crashed near my home.

"Whoa! If I didn't move, damn thing could've killed me.." I said.

Upon catching my breath, my mother came outside panicking and saw me on the ground.

"Oh my gosh, Y/n!!" My mom rushes and hugs me close "Are you ok?!"

"Y-yeah.. I'm fine, mom"

As both mother and son finished calm down, the crystal space rock started opening startling the two.

I started to get up "I wonder what's inside it.." I wondered

"Be careful, sweetie." Mom said

As I got close to the crystal rock, I saw something glowing inside. It became brighter and the rock shattered, making me shield my eyes. After the light dimmed, I witnessed a floating ring with a strange symbol..

"Whoa..it looks like a Green lantern power ring." I said

"Yeah.." Mom said as well

what shocked both of us is the ring speaking to us..

"Y/n L/n, of Earth. I have chosen you to be my Phantom Knight of(Order/Chaos). Come and serve my higher power" the ring spoke

As it finished, the ring flew and slid into the middle finger in my right hand. Then I felt an extraordinary rush of energy about to burst out of me. The ring started to emit a glowing light that blinded them for a few seconds. After the light dimmed, i was wearing a new outfit with the same symbol..(change the symbol on his chest)

M/n: *shocked of her son's new look* Y/n..is that you?

Y/n: Yeah *thinks of a mirror and summons a mirror construct in front of him and looks at himself* i..feel..great.

M/n: Are..are you sure?

Y/n: Yeah. *looks at the nwe ring in on his middle finger* Looks like I'm a lantern hero now.

M/n: Yeah. Let's head inside..and get that rock out of the yard.

Y/n: Sure thing, mom. *looks at the ring and the rock* I wonder...*aims ring at the rock and uses a gray beam to lift the rock into his open room window* This is the coolest day ever..

After he went inside the house he currently live, he headed to bed. Unknown to him, Three superheroines were watching the teen..Supergirl, Batgirl and Harley Quinn.

[Supergirl's POV]

Supergirl: Whoa..What kind of lantern ring is that?

Batgirl: What ever it is, it didn't come from Oa or the Sinestro corps. That's for sure.

Harley: *giggles* The guy looked nice as he'll when wearing that outfit~

Supergirl: Really, Harley?

Harley: Oh come on, Kara. You and Barbara have been looking at him with slutty looks as well.

Both me and Bara blushed at Harley's statement.

Harley: *giggles* thought so..

Batgirl: Lets head back to Batman. He must be wondering what the energy source was as well.

Supergirl/Harley Quinn: *nods*

As the three girls started to leave, supergirl stared back at the boys house and thought of something..

Supergirl: *thoughts* Y/n..i wish that I can tell you what I feel..
