I stepped out of myself

And left a shell

behind me

The shell

Ventured through light

Everyone knew the shell

Loved it

Adored it

Admired it

And soon

I was the shell

The skin full

Of empty life

The shell of me

Took in my life

Consumed it

Draining me

And when I fall

The beloved shell

Will fall with me

And they'll never know
