Butch Hartman has recently made a video about an idea he had for a Danny phantom Halloween special so I decided to write this idea and transform it into a one shot. This story might be separated in two parts.

Everyone was excited for Halloween. It was the first Halloween after the Disasteroid event. The new mayor decided to make a party dedicated to the one and only Danny Phantom who saved the human race from an asteroid that could've illuminated life on earth for good months ago. Danny Phantom saved them from ghosts on a daily basis but they were never able to reach and contact him until recently.

Even if they did, the Guys In White and the Fentons were going to be notified and they would hurt him. Now that he revealed his secret identity, he made things easier.

The mayor made a deal with the guys in white to leave the kid alone and never touch him under any circumstances or they would lose the company forever. Of course, they had to sign that deal. They couldn't do anything about it.

When Danny heard the news, he was so glad and felt safer than ever. He even went to the Mayor himself to thank him personally.

Now that Danny revealed his secret to the world, he had been chased by crazy fans. Thankfully, His ghost powers helped him escape from the chase. In school, Everyone was so nice to him and he didn't have to make weird excuses to fight ghosts. He only needed to notify the teacher with the ghost attack and decide whether it's safe to stay or evacuate the school. This made his life so easier. The problem was, What to wear for this Halloween party? Danny called Sam for help and she told him to just transform if he doesn't want to wear a costume.

"Only two days for the party, isn't this exciting?" Tucker asked his two best friends.

"Yeah, So exciting.." Danny said sarcastically.

"What's wrong? They are doing this party especially for you! You should be grateful, Man." Tucker replied.

"You don't understand, Tucker. Danny's parents are putting the city in defense mode. No glow in the dark costumes, no more the old fashioned white bedsheet ghost costume." Sam answered and Danny nodded.

"But why?" Tucker asked.

"Something about 'ghost activity is going to be off the charts and we have to be careful for the safety of the citizens'." Danny replied. He sounded annoyed. Tucker figured Danny tried to talk to his parents but of course, Danny's parents are more stubborn than he is. When you try to persuade Danny to do something he doesn't want, He is not going to do it even after one million years.

"And you know what? The Guys In White approved the whole thing!" Sam growled.

"Please don't say that we are going to stay under a ghost shield for the whole party." Tucker said.

"We are going to be staying under a shield for the whole party." Danny and Sam said in Unison.

"Great.."

"How about we celebrate Halloween in the Ghost Zone?" Danny broke the silence.

"What? How?" Sam asked.

"Simple, We enter through the Fenton Portal and Boom!" Tucker grinned.

"I mean, The upcoming party is made for Danny! He can't miss it." Sam corrected.

"We won't be there for long, We will just return before the party starts. Sounds fun?"

"It's perfect!" Tucker and Sam replied in unison.

The day of the Halloween Party:

Danny, Sam and Tucker jumped inside the specter speeder after they opened the portal's yellow and black door. Tucker drove the specter speeder inside the Ghost Zone. The Ghost Zone looks exactly the way the trio remembered. Gloomy and spooky with floating islands and lairs. The ghosts were causing no harm to the trio, even Skulker. He just gave them a wicked smile and left without a word. The three of them blinked twice.

"That's weird.." Tucker said.

"That smile sure is Skulker's but he didn't attack or try to shoot us down." Sam replied.

"Something is up. We've got to find out what." Danny continued.

"Right after we celebrate a little with one of your ghostly allies." Tucker said quickly. "I came here to have fun, not to investigate. You know?" He added.

"But-" Sam was cut off by Danny.

"Tucker's right. It's a vacation, We should have some fun. There is nothing to worry about now, right?" Danny interrupted. Sam rolled her eyes with her arms crossed.

"Relax, Sam. We've got it under control." Tucker tried to convince Sam. Sam wasn't convinced. Skulker always wanted to hunt Danny down like animals. He can't just leave like this and smile without shooting them down. She looked out of the window and thought. Danny noticed the thoughtful Sam but he can't do anything about it. He knew something is wrong but he didn't want to do anything about it just yet. He needed a break.

Ghosts this week have been chasing him 3 o'clock in the morning. He usually returned 6 o'clock and that's when his alarm went off. He wanted to stay awake in class so coffee became his best friend. The disadvantages of being a half-ghost superhero, He thought.

His thoughtful state was interrupted when the specter speeder shook violently and started to fall. Danny, without thinking, went ghost and grabbed his friends who were screaming their lungs out. He went intangible and got them out of the specter speeder safely. The three of them watched the specter speeder collide with the ground.

"Dad is going to kill me!" Danny said.

"Forget this! Who did it anyways?!" Sam yelled.

"I like the way you think, Samantha. So wise." A new yet familiar voice joined them. Sam cringed so hard and wanted to kill the person who said her full name. They turned around where the voice was and found someone so unexpected.

"Vlad.." Danny hissed. He landed on the rocky island Vlad stood on and let go of his friends. He took a step to the front and faced Vlad with clenched fists.

"You! What are you doing here?" Danny shouted with anger.

"I was about to ask you the same question, my dear boy.. But I guess it doesn't matter. I have you where I exactly want you." Vlad said and clapped twice. Undergrowth appeared behind The trio and his head got separated into two halves. Sleep spores floated in the air and caused the teenagers to feel drowsy. Vlad backed off to avoid the effect of the tranquilizers and had the widest and the most wicked grin plastered on his evil face. His cunning expression send shivers down Danny's spine. They tried their best to fight against the tranquillizers but to no avail. They finally fell asleep.

Maddie kept calling her son but no answer. The more she tried, the more she got more worried but that didn't stop her from trying again. Jack got upstairs and found Maddie's face pale and worried.

"What's the matter?" Jack asked, his voice full of concern.

"It's Danny, The last time I saw him was here with Sam and Tucker. I didn't see him ever since and he is not answering his phone." Maddie answered.

"Have you tried calling Sam and Tucker?" Jack said after he thought a little.

"Jack, You are a genius!" Maddie's face brightened. Her husband may be shallow-minded but sometimes, he gets some bright ideas. She tried to call Sam and Tucker's phones but they weren't answering either. She sighed.

"No answer?"

"No answer." Maddie looked at her feet.

"Are you sure this is the correct number?" Jack asked.

"Yes! I asked them for their phone numbers incase Danny got badly hurt or else. Do you think they are kidnapped or.. or worse?" Maddie replied and started pacing.

"Now, Maddie. There is no need to jump into silly conclusions. I am sure they are fine." Jack tried to calm Maddie down. She took a deep breath and slowly got it out.

"I guess you are right. Danny is half-ghost. He could get them away from any kind of trouble, right?"

"Of, course. Mads!" Jack said in his loud voice.

"I just hope he gets back early for the Halloween party." Maddie said with a smile. Suddenly, The Ecto-Exodus Alarm went off. Jazz came running downstairs.

"What's that?! What's happening?!" Jazz asked loudly.

"It's the Ecto-Exodus Alarm!" Jack answered. They ran to the lab.

"Oh, That thing? Doesn't that mean that we are about to be attacked by a huge ghost invasion?!" Jazz shouted.

"Yes, dear. We have to do something to stop it! Danny, Sam and Tucker are gone who knows where and they are not answering their phones! We need their help!" Maddie sighed after she stopped the alarm and looked at the screen. Small Pacman ghost icons appeared in the screen and they were coming nearer and nearer from a portal icon on the bottom left corner. Maddie snatched the bazooka hanged on the wall and turned to face the portal. She put her mask on. Jack took his newest improved ecto-gun and stood next to Maddie. Jazz opened a drawer and got the 'Jack O' nine tails'.

"Alright. If Danny's not going to show up. Then we are doing it by ourselves. We are the fentons, The greatest ghost hunters in amity park!" Maddie said. A figure jumped out of the portal and left the whole family speechless.

Danny slowly opened his eyes and found himself in a cage with Sam and Tucker next to him. He groaned as he sat.

"Thank god! I thought he did something to you! We've been waiting for you for like.. 30 minutes!" Sam sighed in relief and looked at her watch.

"I guess it depends how much we inhaled that thing! Where are we?" Danny stretched and stood up.

"In a cage, God knows where! All I know is that we're on that island in the Ghost Zone." Tucker replied. Spectra and Skulker landed in front of them.

"Ah, Good! They're awake! If they only heard what is happening in this pathetic city called Amity Park!" Spectra said.

"Your home is attacked by an army made by Plasmius and you are sitting here like a bird trapped in a cage. How cute!" Skulker added.

"What?!" The trio shouted in unison.

"You know, Vlad wanted to kidnap you and put you in a far place in the ghost zone but you made it easier with your growing frustration. Only because you can't celebrate Halloween the way you want. How selfish." Spectra said and Danny looked down.

"Don't listen to her, Danny. She is only doing this to remain young." Sam said and looked fiercely at Spectra.

"Ah, I love the way you say it. So.. You, Sam." Penelope Spectra continued.

"Shut it!" Tucker slammed the cage's bars.

"Woah, Never seen you so angry, Foley. You always sat on the sidelines and saw Danny suffer ghost-hunting at midnight." Spectra said.

"Tucker never did that! He always helped me and he was always a good friend." Danny hissed.

"Danny, Danny. It's because of them you are half-ghost. It's because of them you come home bleeding and bruised. They are the ones who persuaded you in that portal. They killed you." Spectra said. Sam had her hands on her mouth and looked at Tucker who looked at her back. It was true. This was all true.

"No, No, No! They didn't! I am here! I am alive! They didn't mean it! It was an accident. It is my fault, too. I was so curious to find out more about a different dimension!" Danny denied.

"Denial won't change anything, Danny. It is what it is. Face it. Your parents didn't even care when you got that major electric-shock that turned you into something they hated so much. A ghost. Not just any ghost, It was Danny Phantom. A ghost they tried desperately to hunt down and dissect and experiment on. Your dad had this sentence he always said. What was it again? Oh yeah! Tear you apart molecule by molecule!" Spectra said. Sam covered her face and sat on her knees. Tucker came to her and knelt down putting a hand on her shoulder.

"The thing is, Spectra, I don't care! You are trying to show them how miserable my life is while it's not! I am happy the way it is! This is my destiny, To be a superhero!" Danny protested. Her assistant came and whispered something into her ear.

"Later. Gotta go feed on more misery. Aren't you coming Skulker?"

"I am coming with you. Vlad said I need to keep the kid alive. I really wanted to hunt him and put his pelt on the wall and If I stayed a bit longer, I might." Skulker sighed and went with Spectra leaving Danny, Sam and Tucker behind. Danny sighed and supported his head on the wall.
