Should I just Leave...
I sat there as the people got up and began to walk out. One by one they left as I sat there staring at the empty stage. "That boy... I hope he's ok," I thought as I hugged my knees.
"Ms.?"
I looked the my left to see Philip. "Yes," I said quietly. "The show is over my lady. Time to go I'm afraid," he smiled. "Oh... I guess I should be going then," I tried to smile back. "Is there something on your mind," he asked as he sat down next to me. "Not really. Just doing some thinking," I assured. "Alright, well it's getting dark. Take my word when I say, be careful," he said softly before patting my head. "Careful of wha-," I looked and he was gone.
I looked around confused as fear crept its way up my spine. "I wanted to find out the secrets, but.... why am I getting so afraid?" I thought as I stood up. I walked towards the opening of the tent when I heard a sound. Part of me wanted to turn around, but part of me was screaming to keep going.
I turned around.
I was frozen to see a zebra running towards me. My brain told my legs to move, but was ignored. My eyes snapped shut and I felt a pull on my arm. I was pull away just in time; into the strong arms of a man. I looked up and to my surprise.
"Who are you," I mumbled. It was a women. She was beautiful. Long slightly curled blonde hair, porcelain skin, and she frowned at me. "Is that what you say to someone who just saved your life," she sighed as she let go of my arm. "Sorry I mean thank you so much," I said quickly. "No problem. I told Philip time and time again! To make sure those animals were properly locked away," she sighed. "What's your name," I asked. "I'm name is Zoe. I'm a tightrope walker here at the circus. Who might you be," she asked crossing her arms. "My name is (Y/n). I was watching the performance and I guess I spaced off at the end. I was just leaving," I said with a reassuring smile. "Hm, alright. Well I'm glad you enjoyed it. Please be careful, and get home before dark," she smiled before walking back outside. I looked around the tent. It looked so normal. I walked to where the little boy stood. Gazing at all the seats. "I can't imagine preforming in front of all these people," I whispered. I looked down and my body tenses up.
Blood drops.
I quickly walked outside to see the sunsetting. "How long was that show," I mumbled to myself. I looked around. I felt a chill up my spine. The kind of chill that made me freeze in my tracks; begging my feet to run. I felt a hand on my shoulder. "I thought I told you to head home," Dan sighed. "I'm leaving now," I said still looking straight ahead. "It doesn't look like you're leaving," he smirked. "I am-"
"It looks like you're still trying to play bloody Sherlock Homes. There is nothing here for you. Consider this your last warning. Keep poking your nose around and you may be hurt. Farewell my Lady," he smiled before he walked back into the dark tent.
