Dan and Phil have been bullied by the same
gang for most of their lives. One night, at prom,
they fight back-and, in doing so, accidentally
burn down the school gymnasium. Before they know it, they're
on the run, and find themselves caught up in war protests,
rock and roll, homophobia, and the AIDS crisis.
