Hailey sat in the hallway. Her hair rested in front of her face. Then she heard some commotion behind her.
"STUPID FREAK!!" One boy shouted.

There was loud crash.

Hailey shot up and ran towards the sound. She saw a small, scrawny boy who had blood on his clothes and 3 boys twice his size towering over him.
"Leave him alone!!!" Hailey shouted.

They turned their attention away from the boy on the floor and walked towards her.
"What did you just say to me?" One said. His voice was deep. He grabbed Haileys shirt and pulled her closer to where she could feel his breath.
"Leave..him...alone.." Hailey spoke sternly.

He punched her in the face, hitting her eye. Hailey stumbled back as the boys started to laugh. Hailey ran towards them and kicked the one who just punched her eye in the nuts, doubling him over in pain.

The rest stood in shock.
"Who do you think you are?!" The boy shouted.

The boys entourage surrounded Hailey.
"Lets teach you a lesson!"

Hailey felt a sharp slap across her face and a fist connect with her eye.

She stood back, silent.
"What's wrong, princess? The cat got your tounge?"

They all laughed until the principal saw.
"Excuse me boys, to my office now!"

Hailey fell limp onto the wall.
The world went black.

Hailey woke up in the nurses office. She felt the coolness of the ice pack on her eye.
Then she heard Dans voice.
"These boys will be punished, right?" Dan asked. His voice was thick with worry.
"Mr. Howell, we are punishing these boys. Suspension probably. I want Hailey to miss tomorrowto recover. She did get hurt pretty badly. I also recommend a visit to the hospital if you can to check for anything major. " the principal spoke gently but strictly.

Hailey wasn't allowed to rest long as the boys charged into the nurses office from the outside office door. They slammed the door shut and punched the nurse.

Hailey was slammed into the wall, clouding her vision. She took a swing and it connected with his throat. He gasped heavily stumbling and his friends didn't waste time to charge at Hailey.

The principal and officers were yelling as Hailey was beaten until blackness swept over her.

Dan and Phil panicked in the lobby. They heard slams and crashes from the nurses office. They stood outside...waiting.

Hailey woke up quickly and the commotion has only grown. She stood up sharply, unaware of the new-found strength.
"Enough!!!!" The room fell silent and froze.
Hailey began to speak once more.
"I stand up for people I don't know. I get it you 3 are the school bullies, but can't you grow a pair! Please!!! You are all weak because someone who actually is worth their salt can win an argument or make their point with words, and it is obvious you can't do that. So just leave the school building now before I have to explain it to you!!!"

Silence stayed long enough for the boys to be handcuffed. One of the 3 stopped and made everyone freeze. He looked at Hailey.
"I'm sorry."
Hailey didn't say anything as they were led out the building. She collapsed on the bed and the nurses attention shifted greatly.

Dan and Phil barged in moments later.
"Hailey!" Phil said instantly pulling her into his arms.
Dan watched and looked at the principal.
"These boys will be put in a program to help their anger. And until they are deemed safe for school they will not be allowed back on campus." The principal spoke sternly.

Dan looked at Hailey who had buried herself in Phil's arms for safety and comfort.
"Lets go home. "

Dan picked up Hailey and they all left the school together....
