(Phil's POV)

I quickly turn off my phone and hid it just in time for my mum to walk in.

"Phil I I thought you said you were studying!"

"I am, I'm just taking a break," I say back.

"Okay, sure," she said back as she looked around my room," and how long have you been on your phone?"

"I haven't touched it," I answered her.

Sighing, my mum sat next to me. "Phil, I know that you are a good kid, and you study hard and other things like that, that's why I don't care that you have been on your phone because I know that you will do everything you need to. But, I know something is wrong with you Phil, something is bothering you," I look down at my bedsheets as she continued, "even when you started 12th grade you've got good grades, but then," she stopped and I finished it for her.

"Then you found out... I told you."

"That's when your grades dropped," she said, "Why? What's your worry?"

"Mum, do you know what happened if dad found out? You saw what happened when Martyn found out! How long has he hated me? When was last time you can put family gathering?" I said raising my voice is ever so slightly and tears started to fill my eyes, but I kept going. "My dad wonders why he never shows up to anything why no one was helping anything. It's because of me! All of this! And I fear what might happen to me if he finds out. But will happen to you because you kept it a secret. I'm scared mum. All because of my faggot self."

"Philip don't call yourself that!" My mum said that she pulled me in for a hug. "Now Philip, I know how you feel and I understand completely but if anything were to happen with your dad just know that I will always love you okay?"

"Okay," I say pulling away from my mum's shoulder.

"Now, supper will be done in fifteen minutes or so and the table can't set its self," she said standing up.

I smile, "Okay, I'll be down in a minute to help," and with that, she walked out of the room.

I turned on my phone quickly and saw that the DanShouldbeonFire person had said bye. I smiled then I text popped up from Chris.

Chris: You have plans for tomorrow?

Phil: How about a hello?

Chris: YES OR NO!

Phil: No, I have no life, therefore nothing to do. Why?

Chris: Okay, so you know the new girl?

Phil: CHRIS! I told you, I don't want to date anyone I don't like or know!

Chris: This time you know what she looks like!

Phil: And that makes it better!?

Chris: Well does it not?

Phil: No!

Phil: I'm sorry Chris, I know you're trying to help me.

Chris: You don't have to go if you don't want to.

Phil: No, I'll go. What time and where?

Chris: Really? Nice! 16:30 at the cafe across from the park.

Phil: Will you be there?

Chris: Of course!

Phil: Okay, talk to you later, there's a list ready. Bye.

Chris: Bye!

I put down my phone and walked out of the room and went downstairs to help mum.
