(Dan's POV)

The whole Mary thing worked, and why wouldn't it? I just said the first thing that came to my head, anything to get me out of there.

My mind was a mess and I needed to clear it, but I couldn't clear all the 'what ifs'.

"What if they really are that Phil?"

"What if he doesn't like me?"

"What if you stayed? What then?"

My mind wouldn't stop. My mind was what I hated the most about myself. It's what got me into this mess, but I couldn't kill it. If you can kill your mind I hope I never find out.

Once I got my flat I lock the door and went straight to my room, opening Kik.

DanShouldbeonFire: So, how's the date going?

I turned on the TV to try and find something to watch, but couldn't find anything and I ended up turning back off, not realizing that Phil texted me back until after I did so.

PhiltheAmazing: Uh, not good? It's over now.

DanShouldbeonFire: Oh, sorry. You're not going on another one with her/him?

PhiltheAmazing: In your dreams, she left without a word.

DanShouldbeonFire: Oh my gosh, that's harsh.

PhiltheAmazing: Yeah, but I'm glad that's it's a break and I don't have to see her at school anytime soon!

DanShouldbeonFire: Haha, yeah.

I looked at the time, it wasn't normal for me to go to sleep this early, but I needed to.

DanShouldbeonFire: Hey, I'm going to sleep, I have to be up by 5 tomorrow

PhiltheAmazing: But we don't have school...

DanShouldbeonFire: Yeah but I have a job.

PhiltheAmazing: Oh, okay. Goodnight!
