Prologue
Two tribes, two grappling for power...One in scales of white to stop it all...
"One in scales of white, hatched upon the full moon. Eyes of blood; scales of snow; and yet, within a heart of gold. Two tribes for power, one dragon born to end upon the darkest hour."

"Toss it." The grey dragon snarled roughly; staring in disgust at the pure white hatchling before him. The black female shook her head, tears pricking at her eyes. "No! I won't! I won't toss Perri!" The male sneered, slashing his claws across the females nose.
"We have no room for misfits Nerrazi! Only pure..." he stared pointedly at the black and grey hatchling beside the white. "Silas will grow to be a great warrior, Nerrazi. Too bad you won't be here to witness it!" The female pulled Perri and Silas to her chest; snarling at the grey. "You don't need to do this, Skaaari! It doesn't have to end this way!"
Skaaari snarled; shoving her out of the den, and to the edge of the cliff. "Toss the mistake, and Silas will live." Nerrazi clutched Perri to her chest, shaking her head violently. "No!"
"Very well, Nerrazi. I hope you enjoy your final moments!" Skaaari snarled; swiping his claws through her wings, her agonized shriek fading in and out of Perri's hearing.
* * *
The wind screamed through her head; and she realized with a start that she wouldn't make it. She clutched Perri tighter; glaring defiance. "I don't know what I ever saw in you. You aren't a loving partner! You're a monster!" He leapt at her; shoving her off the edge.
* * *
"I-I loved you, Skaaari..." her eyes filled with tears; and she shut them; her wings failing to catch air as they continued to rip and tear; the wound on her muzzle flinging scarlet droplets into the air. I'm sorry, little ones. I'll never get to see you fly. And I'm sorry Skaaari. I wasn't perfect enough for you. And I never will...
She knew if she spread her wings and created just enough drag, her daughter would survive impact. She grit her teeth, spreading her wings, an agonized groan escaped her set jaws as her wing bones snapped; the force was too much...
Nerrazi hit the ground with a crash, dead upon impact.
* * *
"Mum?" Perri crawled from her mother's wing, poking her nose.
"Mom! Mom! Get up!" She dug her needle like claws into Nerrazi's ears; but got no response.
"Mom! Please!" Her voice broke, and she curled against her mother's chest.
* * *
Gotcha! Olympus snatched the sheep in his claws; licking his lips as he thought of sinking his teeth into the animals flesh, his eyes widening as he noticed the dead dragon. That's...Not good. He turned, swooping down and landing in front of the corpse.
* * *
"Oh, Star-Stalkers..." he stiffened as a whimper sounded beneath the dragon. Panicking, he nosed the corpse aside rather roughly; eyes slitted with disgust. They softened as he gripped the hatchlings scruff; her red eyes half closed as she fell in and out of consciousness.
* * *
"You're safe now," he spoke softly; spreading his wings as he returned to his cave; resting the small dragon on a bed of moss. "I won't let anyone harm you again." Wrapping his tail around the hatchling, he curled next to it; Perri rested underneath his wing.
* * *
"Dad! Dad! Guess what?" Pevvele skidded around the cave; her red eyes bright with laughter. Olympus slowly pulled his tail from his nose; watching with a tired expression. "Yeah? You can slide..."
"Not just that dad—I can spin!" She spun in a circle, still laughing and squealing with excitement. The Demon Fury groaned inwardly; drawing a paw over his cream colored scales, his amber eyes half closed.
I would rather sleep...
Do I even get sleep?
Arching his back with a yawn; he slowly followed his adopted daughter. It had only been three months since he had found the hatchling, and was now calling her "Pevvele".
"Don't fall, please?" He sighed, sitting down outside the cave, keeping an eye on Pevvele. "Dad! I won't fall! I'm very, very, very careful! I'm the bestest at being careful!" She chirped, her tail waving as she pounced on a stone that had fallen from the outcrop over the cave. Olympus watched with reserved amusement, lowering himself so his head rested on his paws.
* * *
"Dad?"
"Dad."
"Dad!" He blinked; opening an eye to see Pevvele with a stick, prodding his ribs. Did I—
He looked up sharply, groaning as he noted the suns position. Great, just great, It's noon.. he got up quickly, giving a shake.
"Pevvele, go inside, I'm going hunting."
Pevvele placed a paw on his talons, gazing up at him.
"Let me go, too! I can help! I'm really good at sneaking! Watch!" She crashed through the undergrowth, crackling leaves and snapping twigs, and causing quite a ruckus. Olympus rubbed his nose with a paw, sighing.
"Pevvele, I'm sorry, but you can't come, not yet, anyway," Pevvele slowly slunk from the grass; looking crestfallen.
"Awwwh, fine, dad...But you better catch something good!" She perked up; trotting back inside the cave, and Olympus beat his wings, diving from the cliff, and down the mountain side; he let out a cry of joy, adrenaline running through his veins as he pumped his wings harder; briefly breaking the sound barrier with a loud pop, he slowed down as he dove into the valley, spreading his wings open; amber gaze trained on the ground below. He planned to catch Pevvele's favorite: Mountain Goat.
He scanned for a while, going back and forth between the mountains and valleys, before he finally found the creature, not just one, but several, all gathered at the foot of the hills. He dove, snatching two in his claws, and returned to his cave.
"I'm back, Pevvele!" He called.
It was silent, and his heart seized with fear.
"Pevvele? Pevvele? Pevvele!" He paced, nearly leaping out of his scales as something thumped down on his tail.
"Boo!" Pevvele giggled; stepping off as her father caught his breath.
"You scared the living daylights out of me!" Olympus panted; one paw planted firmly on his chest.
"Sorry, father!" Pevvele beamed up at him, her barbed tail twitching. Olympus crouched, pressing his nose to her shoulder.
"It's alright, my little dove..."
