Petra Pettigrew wasn't an accident but she certainly wasn't planned into arriving late into the lives of Grace and Davian Pettigrew.

The couple had gone through many tries into having a child until all hope was almost lost and they decided to try once more before giving up into baring and raising children at all. That's when the miracle of a baby came to their lives. The two expecting parents were more than thrilled and glad that they had decided to try once more before finally giving in. Grace Pettigrew took all measures for her unborn baby to be as healthy as possible. When the doctor advised not to eat a certain food, she followed the advice. In fact, she followed every rule by the letter and was all worth the struggle and pain when her daughter was born. The couple always knew that their first born was going to be a girl, it was all they hoped for. Someone to grow up to be like Grace and have the passion of Davian.

Petra grew up in a humble home. Her half-blood parents both gave her the taste of both the Muggle and Wizardry World.

She was a tiny little thing. Her fine blonde hair was never short; she loved when her mother would place flowers on it. As a baby, her clothes would never fit just right but as she grew older, it started to become quite the opposite.

"Can I have more?" was the question that her parents expected to come out of her mouth after she had finished her first plate. Grace silently scowled at her husband as she served their daughter another plate. The Pettigrew family was known for their immense appetite.

Petra loved being in the comfort of her home. It was no surprise to her parents that the 7-year-old did not spend much time outdoors. Playing with her dolls and chatting with her dad was her favourite pass time of the entire day. Going to the muggle toy shops, where her imagination would run wild became her safe haven.

"Why don't you go outside, Petra?" Her mother asked her.

"Because I can't pretend outside." Petra would simply grab her toy and walk to her room.

One particular morning, her imagination leads her to step outside her home and run through the streets as her father walked behind her. The doll hung from her arm as Petra ran circles around her father, speaking so fast that Davian didn't know how to respond to anything she was saying that wasn't a nod or a grin.

"Daddy! look!" the playground was full of boys and girls her age. "Can we go?"

"Of course."

It only took a few minutes when Petra returned to where he was sitting down.

The doll was only a head and her tears had cleaned a path on her dirty face. He immediately took a knee so Petra was able to run into his arms for comfort. She had been so excited to be surrounded by boys and girls her age. Where she was able to talk about all the places she couldn't wait to go to when she became just like her mum.

"What happened, pumpkin?"

"They said I would never have friends." She cried. "that I'm freaky."
