Peter's POV
The night was still young.
I watched my lost boys dance around me. They banged their sticks together and started hollering and hooting during the celebration. I stood in the middle near the campfire while Felix sat down on a log near the campfire. I just got finished playing a few notes on my pipe, but of course that only encouraged the boys to keep dancing.
" I have never seen Petra so serious. ", Felix said
I looked up to see my sister sitting on a tree branch with her back against the tree bark. Her arms crossed above her chest. Her eyes watched the lost boys dance around the campfire, but her mind was dazzing off into space.
" When she is focused on something, she is determined to do it. ", I clarfied.
" Yep, she is definitely related to you. ", Felix slightly chuckled.
" It's really not that hard to figure out. ", I snorted.
My loyal lost boy chuckled once more before shaking his head. He continued to play around with a stick before throwing it into the fire. The flames rose up before slowly consuming the stick into ashes. Felix's gray eyes lingered into the fire before he raised his head up and pointed at something. I turned around to see Devin step out of line from the dance and approach my sister. He dropped the sticks on the ground and climbed up the tree before sitting on another branch that was close to my sister's branch.
" What is Devin doing? ", I murmered
" It seems that he is checking up on Petra. ", Felix stated.
I snorted before seeing Devin talking to my sister. He scooted closer trying to get her full attention, but my sister was still zoned out. Unexpectedly, the lost boy shoved Petra causing her to almost fall, but luckily my sister was able to balance herself on the tree branch. Devin snickered before my sister shoved him as well. The little rascal lost his balance and grabbed my sister's arm before pulling both of them down as they landed on the ground.
The sounds of grunts and groans were heard causing the lost boys to stop dancing and turn their attention towards Petra and Devin. Devin laid on the ground emotionlessly next to a dizzy Petra who was rubbing her head to ease the pain. I approached the two weirdos with the lost boys behind me. Whispers and giggles were heard between the unloved boys, but I silenced them with my stern voice.
" Are you okay, Petra? ", I asked with concern
" I'm great. ", Petra pretended to smile.
" Are you pain? ", I sighed.
" In pain? Nah, falling from a tree didn't cause my head to pound or my body to ache because I wasn't prepared to be pullled down. ", Petra fake smiled.
" Did you break anything? ", I asked
" I broke your pipe once. One time I broke your crystal ball and it shatterd into pieces. I also broke many cute boys' hearts because I had to protect them from you. ", Petra confessed.
My sister's sarcasm caused everyone around us to laugh and snicker. Even Felix chuckled a little before shaking his head. Devin giggled before reaching his arm out to pat Petra's shoulder.
" I meant did you break any bones. ", I gritted my teeth.
" Peter, you gotta be more specific when it comes to asking me those type of questions. ", Petra retorted.
" Just answer the answer. ", I huffed.
" No, I didn't break any bones of mine. ", Petra replied
" Good. ", I sighed in relief
" I didn't break any bones either. ", Devin added
" Dang it. ", I muttered under my breath.
My sister nudged Devin's arm before she slowly sat up. One of the lost boys stepped out of line and wiped away the twigs and leaves from her upper body and hair. Another lost boy held out his hand and Devin gladly took it before getting right back up to his feet. Petra stood up on her own and gave Devin a shove before sticking out her tongue at him. The boy stuck out his tongue at her before approaching her with a hug. They both chuckled as Petra ruffled his hair.
" Devin. ", I spoke darkly.
The brown-haired boy turned around and snuggled closer to Petra with his arms wrapped around her gently.
" Petra, hide me. ", he whispered
" Don't worry love. ", she cooed
" Petra. He pushed you and pulled you down causing you to fall from that tree! You could have gotten hurt! ", I exclaimed angrily.
" And I didn't get hurt. ", Petra shook her head. " I'm fine. Nobody got hurt. "
I hummed in response before crossing my arms. I turned around and returned to the middle of the camp before sitting down on a log near the campfire. The lost boys watched my action before looking at my sister for a command.
" The night is still young, boys. ", Petra chirped
The lost boys cheered before grabbing their sticks from the ground and returning back into their circle around the campfire. They started hollering and laughing while wildly dancing freely. Felix made his way towards me and sat next to me. My eyes focused on my sister and Devin looking around before Petra motioned for Devin to follow her out of camp and into the dark forest.
I was about to go after them but I felt an arm blocking my way.
" Let them go, Pan. " , Felix said calmly.
" And why should I? " , I asked rolling my eyes.
" Because I'm sure they will come back to camp. For now, at least enjoy the celebration. " , Felix assured me.
I hummed in response before standing next to Felix and looking around at the lost boys dancing around me. I pulled out my enchanted pipe and begun to play a few notes.
A/N: Have you ever been camping? 🔥
