"Cya Peter, take care!" Tony yelled before the doors to the jet closed and the Avengers were off to their mission. Peter smiled and waved before his arm flopped to his side and a sad sigh escaped his lips.

Peter absolutely loved Tony and his super family but he doesn't get why they don't let him go on any missions. He is capable of taking care of himself, heck! He's been taking care of himself for so the past year he's been Spider-Man before Tony adopted him. Peter has been fighting crime, he's fought a mutant lizard, a freaking rhino so why can't he go on missions with everyone. He's the strongest and is really fast plus his regeneration is fast. Do they not trust him, do they think he's weak? 

Peter walked about into the tower and plopped himself down onto the sofa. He stared at the ceiling for who knows how long before finally standing up and headed towards his room. Peter entered his room and headed straight for the window before he slammed it open, his room was quickly filled with the cool crispy air as he stared at the night sky. His eyes stared out at the colourful array of colours, he quickly changed into his Spider-Man suit and climbed from the window, he shut the window behind him before jumping. Peter allowed himself to fall as he loved the feeling of the air rushing passed him, his adrenaline started to rush as he neared the ground. Peter arm shot out as white web shot from his hand and attached itself to a nearby building, he started to swing from building to building,

"WOOHOO!!!!" the hero yelled as the wind pressed against his suited body, soon Peters ears picked something up from the distance,

"SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!" 

The scream was clear in Peters hearing telling him it was nearby, the scream was clearly a female's as he landed on the roof of a building next to the source of the scream. Peter looked down to see a man fighting a teenager for her school bag,

"Look girl, if you don't want to die then hand it over!" the man yelled, but the girl shook head stubbornly and pulled harder,

"All my work is in here! And something I got for my sister so back off....HELP!" she yelled again, Peter smirked before jumping down behind the man, he looked at the girl and put a finger to his masked lips to tell her to be quite. The girl seemed to get the message as she glared at the man and pretended Peter wasn't there.

"Thats it girl! I warned you!" the man yelled but as he reached for his gun Peter simply knocked him out. The mans body fell to the floor as the girl hugged her backpack towards her chest, Peter stared at the girl,

"You're pretty stubborn." he chuckled out, the girl smiled as she put the bag on her back,

"Run in the family. Thank you Spider-Man." the girl said softly before walked away, Peter smiled,

"Stay safe!" He yelled, the girl turned around and smiled before turning the corner. Peter tied the man up and called the police before he climbed to the roof of a building and started to swing away.

~ The next day at school ~

Peter sat in the library, in his hands was a hard cover book called 'Let's Start Over'. To him the story was interesting, the story was about a boy who couldn't take the verbal abuse from the family he trusted so he tried committing suicide but he was saved by his bully. After that they become a family as more people join their family, it has many plot twists. He was on chapter 5 when they met a boy named Travis,

"Oof, the characters in this book have tough lives." Peter whispered, he closed the book and reached into his bag to pull out his homework when his mask fell out. He quickly snatched before anyone could see, Peter sighed and stared at the red mask in his hands. He tightened his grip on the mask as a wave of anger washed over him, Spider-Man should be allowed on missions like the others. Peter didn't realize his eyes were shut before he opened them, he sighed and hid the mask in his bag when he felt a stranger dark aura. He turned to see a shadow like creature but before Peter could even move the creature wrapped its way around him,

"I can help you..." it whispered into his ear before melting into Peter. Peter gasped as his eyes flickered black, he stared at his hands in shock as he felt lightheaded he rubbed his eyes. He got up and placed his homework into his bag then zipped it up. Peter swung the bag over his shoulders and grabbed the hard cover book, he sighed the book out before leaving the library.

'What the hell just happened? Did no one see that? Was that all my imagination?' Peter questioned himself, his vision blurred as he leaned against the wall for support. 

"Better head to the nurse..." he mumbled to himself before pushing himself off the wall and slowly made his way down the hallway.
