❂1 Strangely Charming

This hope is treacherous
This daydream is dangerous

In the universe far, far away, where Thanos never existed and all the avengers lived happily ever after...

   School showcase.

Two words triggered my whole classroom and they turned into a giant mess. On this Wednesday Midtown high school will held a showcase day, for people from all of the clubs and classes to show they're best to the whole school.

As for my science club, we will do a crazy, funny, exiting, and marvelous science show. Ned had a big dream for this project, he would dress up funny, and make the crowd laugh.

"And you put the chemicals in the tube, and when it explode, you scream surprise motherfucker!" Ned explained it in a very happy tone.

"Ugh... Excuse me. We're the science club, we won't swear in our show." Cindy said.

"But it's a meme!" Ned argued.

"Meme or not it's the F word." Cindy rolled her eyes.

"I agree with her guys, I think it's inappropriate." Betty said. My mind wandered away, my eyes also, it searched all around the room, spied on other groups, to see if we had the upper hands.

The drama club will play Romeo and Juliet.

The art club will have a drawing competition.

The book club will read, and not perform anything.

And... Which club is that girl in anyway?

"Hang on, guys. Is that one of our classmates?" I interrupted everyone, then pointed at the very dark corner of the classroom.

In the back where nobody aware of her existence, a girl stood by her self, alone. Wearing a black hoodie that was twice her size, reading a book in some language that I couldn't read, that's weird, the weirder thing is I never knew she was there.

   "Who?" Betty asked, looking around.

"Over there. That girl?" I pointed at her, but nobody cared.

"C'mon guys, what should we wear, purple or blue?" Tiny ignored me and the whole group did so too.

My eyes was still there, at the girl in the shadow. That was the first time I thought I've seen ghost. I had goosebumps all over. I was so scared.

But then after everyone went back to their pleasant conversation, Ned tapped me. "I see her too." He said.

"Really? Thank god. I thought I was insane." I told him.

"I thought I saw a ghost too, because nobody but me, who saw her this entire term, even the teachers." Ned whispered very mysteriously.

"She was with us this whole time?" How? I would've recognized her?

"Yeah! I talked to Matt from the football club, he said he can see her too."

"But she's not really... I mean, physically invisible, right? That is scientifically not possible."

"They said she was a witch."

"That's a serious accusation Ned, she's probably just... I don't know... Distanced away from everyone." I watched her turned the page of her book. What was she reading?

"He said she casted a spell so nobody would notice her, nobody but the worthy ones." He said fascinatingly.

"Worthy ones. So... are we the worthy ones?" She was a wizard now she is Thor's hammer.

"Yup. That's how Matt explained it."

   "What's her name?"

   "(Y/n)... Strange..."

"Well. A little, yeah. But I think she's pretty cool." I shrugged.

   "Bro. That's her surname."

"Oh?" I froze. "Okay. That makes her cooler."

We stared back at her, her hoodie shadowed half of her upper face, her lips touched, her face had no emotion. Then, as if she had magic to know when people spy on her, her eyes suddenly left the page to us.

We flinched and turned our faces back to the group, we still felt her stares on us, like a dark cloud over our shoulder, I had another goosebumps.

   "Maybe she's really a witch." I whispered.

   "Agreed." He whispered back.

I still think she was cool. A very, very cool wizard.

Maybe it was because I was busy being Spider-man and trying to become the avengers, just to turned Mr Stark's offer's down like an idiot and sent Liz's dad to jail that I never saw her.

Or maybe she was someone special.

   Like a superhero.

   Or a super something.

It was all just an idea.

A week after that day I found myself in a stupid, tiny, Spider man, cosplay suit that my teammates bought for me to use and perform our science showcase. I was afraid people might find out I am the Spider man but all Flash said was.

   Penis man.

I mean, P and S don't even rhyme, and this Penis Parker joke is so lame, that even me, hearing it makes me feel bored and unbothered.

Our group cosplayed the Avengers, Ned was Hulk, Flash was Iron man (He didn't deserve to be Mr Stark), Betty was Black Widow, Cindy was Captain, others are others and I was Spider man.

Our show was a complete disaster too.

There was no applause after it, we are the word cringe- if it was a human. The experiment also gone wrong. It exploded and made us all covered in grey dust, so the audience had asthma.

I had to wash my face, and that was the second time I saw her.

She was in the hallway, wearing the same old hoodie, so long it covered her thighs, there was no way to tell what she wore inside. This time she carried a different book.

"Hey." I said, waving awkwardly at her.

She wouldn't even look at me. "Hi." She replied, her voice was cold and emotionless.

"We are in the same class... haha." God, why am I so nervous?

"I know." She said. Her eyes were (E/c), her eyeshadow was black today, for the showcase, I guessed.

"Are you performing too, today?" I asked her.

   "Yes. In five minutes."

"Oh." I nodded, then turned away to the door that leads to the hall room. "Then you should probably hurry up, the chess club will finish soon---"

I stopped. Stunned. When I looked back at her she was gone, this hall way was empty. I was the only person in it. I looked left and right, up and down, feeling anxious.

As a super hero, I felt that she was either one like me, or... a charming ghost.

I went back to the hall room on my own, still in this fake Spider suit, I walked to Hulk Ned, he was clapping for the chess club.

   "Dude. I saw her again."

   "Who?"

"The girl we talked about. (Y/n) Strange. I met her at the hallway just a second ago."

"You mean Strange? She's on the stage."

No way. When I looked up (Y/n) was walking up the stage with a leather bag in her hands, there was no way she could make it from the hallway to the stage this fast.

"Can you guys see her?" Ned asked our group when I was still confused, they nodded. "Well, I guess she's normal."

"She's far from normal..." I whispered back.

This was her first time to shine, to be under the spotlights, to be noticed and watched but (Y/n) Strange looked at everyone with a blank stare, like she didn't have feelings or cares to have one.

"Hello." She said into the microphone, her voice echoed loud and clear. "I'm (Y/n) Strange from the Magician club, and this is my showcase."

Some random music opened up, and she showed us her little bag, then dipped her arm down, so deep, too deep to even fit in that tiny little space. Than she took out thug life glasses out and put them on.

   So cool.

People started cheering for her, and she bowed as a thanks, then (Y/n) Strange snapped her fingers, a little yellowish flames sparked out doing it, and her hoodie grew longer, made her look like little red riding hood.

People screamed, wow, holy shit, and oh my god. Including me.

I've seen magicians, but not as amazing. She must've had some kind of a technology, those fabrics are probably nano fiber, I guessed, it was the only way to explain it.

She then took her hoodie off her face and turned out she was wearing a very big hat, then she yelled, "Classic!" And put her hand into the hat and pulled a bunny out.

People screamed for her, she bowed for the last time and said.

"That was it. Thank you." She carried the bunny down the stage. Her showcase was a successful dark horse. People started talking about who she was, or how to join her club (that she's been the only member this whole term), but I, I have some other mission.

I split away from Ned and found a place to put on my suit, after class I then tracked her down and followed her. I climbed onto the buildings, watching Strange left the school.

"Are we spying on someone, Peter?" Karen asked me.

"Yes... That girl." I narrowed my Spider eyes, the screen scanned her as Karen read it out for me.

"(Y/n) Strange, the daughter of Doctor Stephen Strange."

   "So it's not a made-up name..."

"Can we track her?" I asked Karen, she didn't reply but she sent a tiny, little, spider tracker jumped off of my web shooter, and swung down, then disappeared into her boot.

"May I ask you why are we stalking her?" Karen asked me.

"Stalk? I'm not a stalker.... I just think she, I don't know, might have super powers..."

She left my eyesight into an alley. I swung over to follow her. As I was getting closer, I heard a sound, like a sparkling flame, or a burning fireplace.

When I jumped down to the ground, then looked around for her, she was gone.

"What the hell?!" I yelled, then touched on the wall of an alley, to find some kind of a secret door, but there was nothing, she just vanished. "Karen! Where is the tracker now?"

   "Greenwich Village."

"That's not possible... She can teleport..."

I knew there was something strangely charming about her, and I won't stop until I know all about it.

Neko : Ugh... Helloo. My fellow depressed potato. It's me Neko. I decided to write this book bc I miss writing about Peter that is Peter (not a singer, wizard, psychopath.) This book is in a different universe as Stark's. I have overall plot, the details we'll find out together! Let's enjoy being Doc's daughter!❤️ Yay!
