Reunited - TH

I sat in the back seat of the glossy black Audi RS 7. Tapping my fingers against the ledge on the door, I kept turning my phone on and off, glancing out the window between each time-check.

As soon as the my phone screen switches to 3:15, almost as if on cue, the loud noise of a private plane's engines running came closer and closer. Looking up, I saw the plane land on the tarmac, halting to a stop right in front of me.

The driver came around towards my door, and opened it for me. I stepped out of the car, anxiously fixing my hair, over and over again. The door to the jet opened, and a set of stairs descended.

My husband of two years came down the stairs, eyes meeting mine.

I was at a loss for words. Three months being separated from a person can do something funny to you. It was really seven months when I think about it. He took a break from filming his latest movie to visit me for a weekend, but again, that was three months ago.

Tom and I were accustomed to spending all our time together, never apart. My mum had been sick, so Tom and I collectively decided that it would be best if I stayed here with her while he filmed.

And we FaceTimed every night, calling and texting throughout the day. But nothing can change actual physical contact.

A large goofy grin was plastered across his face as he ran down the small stairs. My steps started out small, but with every centimetre closer I got, my heart fluttered even more, quickening my pace.

"I've missed you so much darling," Tom called out, once we were in talking distance from each other.

"I've missed you too," I replied, running towards him.

It was like one of those moments in the movies. When the couple run to each other, almost in slow motion, every little movement, every little detail noticed, memorised.

He easily closed the gap, bringing me into a bear hug. Tom inhaled the scent of my hair, my clothes, my neck, everything.

"God I forgot what it was like to hold you in m arms," he muttered into my ear, kissing my jawline. He planted his lips up and down my jaw, finding my mine.

My hands ran through those locks that I love and miss so much, as he cupped my face, stroking my cheekbones with his thumbs.

After what must have been decades, we broke apart.

"I love you so much Y/n," he whispered, his eyes glinting with happiness.

"I love you too Tom," I replied, kissing him again.

Anyone have any tips on how to sleep better? It's almost five in the morning and I have again not gotten much sleep! I literally just wrote this. And I'm freaking out. For now, I can sleep as late as I want. But when school starts imma be freaking out. Like I can't run on a few hours of sleep every night! This is insane. Ughjjjjjjsjskdjsj😬😬😬
