Pregnancy Series Pt. Seven

DOES HE THINK HE IS ALLOWED TO FUCKING KILL US?

I think my picture choice tells you how long ago I started writing this😂

"Are you sure?" Tom's worried voice filled my ears, soothing my wreck of nerves.

"Y-Yeah, I think so. M-my waters broke and-"

"Is anyone with you right now?"

"Yeah, Bf/n," I breathed heavily, looking up at her.

"Okay, have her take her to the hospital- I'll meet you there." Tom hurried, and I heard the receiver buzz.

"Well I guess we're going to the hospital now," I chuckled, in attempt to disguise my fear.

Grabbing the bag I had conveniently placed right next to the door, I allowed Bf/n to lead me to her car. She was a crazy reckless driver, so I clung onto the little handle above the door for dear life as we sped down the Kingston streets.

In no time, we were at the hospital. I gave the lady at the front desk my name, and she led me to a nice private room.

As Tom was coming from farther, but after about fifteen minutes, he rushed into my room, running over to me.

"Y/n!" He sighed, his hand traveling through my hair.

"I'm so glad you're here Tom," I croaked, already tired. How could I be exhausted from this? Rubbing my eyes, I held his hand on my cheek, smiling into it.

"I'll leave you two be," Bf/n said, chuckling. She came over to kiss my forehead. "Love you. You can do this." She whispered before leaving.

The contractions had become closer quickly, soon ranging in the one to two minute zone.

"Y/n, Y/n, honey you can't push yet," the midwife told me, as I struggled with the urge.

"But I want to! It feels right," I moaned, my grip on Tom's hand becoming even sweatier.

"Y/n, babe, just focus on your breathing okay," Tom said from aside me, moving his free hand in a circle, as he hushed, "Breath... breath.. breath..."

I followed his guide, breathing in and out with every word.

"You're nine centimetres Y/n, you're almost ready to push, okay, I just need you to wait a little longer."

After a minute, another contraction hit me like a wave, and midwife nodded. "Time to start pushing."

Squeezing Tom's hand till my fingers were white, I felt the most unbelievable pain.

"I-I can't do this. It's too hard."

"Y/n you have to. I know, it's hard, I-I wish I was a seahorse," Tom said from next to me.

Chuckling breathlessly at his Friends reference,  I grunted, pushing harder.

"She's crowning!" The Doctor smiled.

"You can do this darling, I believe in you." Tom whispered in my ear, pecking my temple.

With one final scream, our daughter's shoulders came out, and the rest of the body followed. They let Tom cut the umbilical cord before the hospital staff rushed my newborn daughter to clean her up.

Bringing back a clean, swaddled baby girl, the midwife placed her in my arms.

She cried helplessly, a little wall escaping her small pink lips.

"She's beautiful," I said, still panting heavily.

Tom gently ran his fingers through my hair. "I'm so proud of you darling."

"It wasn't that bad," I said sarcastically.

"We still need to decide her name Y/n." He said, leaning on the edge of the bed.

"How about on three we both say the name we like," I suggested, mouthing the numbers.

"Luna." We both said at the same time.

Giggling, I looked away from our daughter towards him.

"I really like that name."

"Me too darling. And for her middle name..."

"I was thinking Elizabeth. Like your mum's middle name."

"Luna Elizabeth Holland... it's perfect," he grinned down at me.

"Welcome to the world Luna Elizabeth," I cooed, kissing her forehead.

Okay that took me so long to write, mainly because I was nervous to actually write the labour scene. That's why it's rushed. I'll probably do one more chapter, maybe an epilogue? But we'll see.
