Ghosts in the Graveyard - PP
Okay okay okay so I was reading someone else's imagine and somebody commented this so I switched it up a bit and it's probably gonna be really weird but whatever. Also, I've only played this game a few times, with my cousins. I don't know if it's an American thing and my fellow Brits will be confused or it's bc I just live in a city and all. Also, super cheesy.
"Y/n, this is ridiculous," Peter whispered in my ear, his hand gently moving over mine. I was standing on the steps of Michelle's front porch, Peter, despite my attempts to keep a safe distance, was on the step above me.
"Shut up Pete," I hissed back, yanking my hand out from underneath his on the railing. Turning back to the group, a fake smile plastered on my face, I listened in on the conversation.
"So I'll count to one hundred, and then I'll try and find you guys?" Michelle confirmed, sitting on the porch swing.
"Yeah, and then we shout Ghost in the Graveyard, and we have to run back to base - the porch- before you can tag us, an-and the first one tagged is the next ghost," Ned explained, breathless in excitement.
"Okay, sounds good. One... two..." Michelle started counting, as the rest of us quickly scurried off the porch, Peter tailing me.
I ran quickly, trying to dodge the shrubbery that was just visible in the purplish hue the nighttime sky cast over my vision.
Throwing a glance behind my shoulder, I saw Michelle, sitting on the steps of her house, head buried in her hand, her mouth moving with each number she passed. Peter was a few feet behind me. Of course, he could easily catch up to me if he wanted too, but he didn't. Maybe he learnt how to take a hint, and for once, he actually gave me space. Usually when we fight, he disappears for a day, to control his own anger, then that adorable face keeps popping up in my life until I forgive him.
Diving into an alleyway, I hid behind the side of somebody's garage, holding my breath.
Right as I got in, Peter slid in next to me, turning so I couldn't get out, and instead was forced to look at him. So much for being able to take a hint.
"What are you doing here Peter? You heard the rules: we're playing singles, not pairs." I grumbled, kicking the chain fence a step away from me.
"We need to talk."
"Nooo, we need to hide. God can you not ruin everything? I'm trying to play a game with my friends, I don't want to fight right now Pete."
"I don't want to fight either-"
"Listen Peter. I love you. You know that. And I will forgive you. Just give me some time." I tried not to look at him, but couldn't help it. What I saw surprised me though.
I expected to see a hurt Peter that would melt my heart, eyes like a puppy's, lips in a tiny pout.
What I got though was a scoffing boyfriend.
"You know what? I said it once, I'll say it again- you're being ridiculous Y/n. I apologised. What more do you want?"
"What more do I want? A boyfriend who doesn't bail on all of our dates! You're such a flake, a-and I've put up with it for two fucking years Parker! And I know that Spider-Man doesn't care about his Senior Prom, but I do, and Peter Parker sure as hell should." I growled, as he slammed me against the plastic siding of the garage. Shocked, I looked up at him, to see his chocolate irises almost entirely eclipsed by his growing pupils, eyes dark with desire.
"Wh-what?" I asked him uncertainly, noting his hold on me. His hands were gripped around my biceps, holding them firmly against the garage.
But he didn't answer, he just leaned in, hungrily attaching his lips to mine. I hesitated at first, but quickly sank into his embrace, and as he released my arms to grip my hips, I let mine travel up to the nape of his neck, playing with the small pieces of hair that hung there.
"I'm sorry," he breathed, barely disconnecting our lips.
I hummed in acceptance, and he moved his lips to the crook of my neck, gently sucking on the bare flesh there.
"GHOSTS IN THE GRAVEYARD!" Ned's scream interrupted our interrupted our intimate moment.
"Shit," I said, trying to detach myself from Peter's grasp.
"Noooooo," he whined, keeping his hold on me tight.
"I am not loosing this game Parker." I quirked a brow, "So are you gonna let me through?"
Peter begrudgingly let me go, following me out to the alley. Rushing back, I caught a glimpse of Michelle, holding a hand to her side, probably cramping up from all the running.
Snickering, Peter and I made it back to base, followed quickly by Ned, and not so quickly by Michelle.
"Did you guys team up again?" Ned groaned, panting.
"Maybe..." I grinned, breathing quite heavily myself.
"No fair! You always do that! We said singles!"
"Hey don't look at me! I was doing just fine on my own, till Peter joined me," I pointed towards my boyfriend who was standing, despite having sprinted for a block and a half, unfazed. He just shrugged, as we shook our heads laughingly.
"Up for another round?"
