Think Fast! (request)
You ever do that thing after watching a movie where your personality is like 27.3% your favorite character from that movie, or where you get yourself lost in a daydream where you are part of the movie? And like, you have to try really hard not to get yourself caught doing weird things while acting out an imaginary scene with you in it? No? Just me? Okay. Yeah, I still don't own Marvel.
This was a request by @Katie5k. Hope you enjoy!
Warnings: identity reveal, field trip.
"Think fast!"
Peter already had a hand up to catch the screwdriver by the time the words were out of the intern's mouth. Jace, the one who had thrown the screwdriver, frowned disappointedly. "I thought I had you that time!"
Peter shrugged apologetically. "Sorry, Jay."
Sarah, the newest college intern, walked in and saw Peter holding a screwdriver and Jace pouting. "I don't get it. What is this?"
Jace smiled at Sarah. Everyone knew he had a crush on her, Sarah included, but she was waiting for him to ask her out. She had said if he didn't by Christmas, she would do it for him, but she wanted to give the poor guy a chance.
"Peter has insane reflexes. I don't think he ever hadn't caught something we've thrown at him." Jace explained.
Sarah grabbed the closest thing to her, a coffee mug still filled with cold coffee, and threw it. "Think fast!"
Peter automatically responded, catching the mug without spilling any of the coffee on himself. Sarah stared in awe. "Wow."
Peter blushed. This had been going for months after one of the head scientists accidentally lobbed a knife at his head-don't ask how. Everyone was terrified, thinking the Boss's favorite intern was going to die, and were shouting for him to duck, but Peter just caught the knife out of the air and placed it on the table.
Since then, interns would randomly shout "think fast!" and throw things at him to test his reflexes. No one had ever thrown a knife at him again, though. That was too risky, even for the usually incredibly impulsive interns.
"I've got to go to school," Peter announces, checking the time. He was an early riser, so he usually went down to the labs to hang with the early morning crew before school.
"Have fun!" Sarah said.
"Don't get in trouble!" Jace called.
Mike, who had been working u til he heard the announcement yelled across the room, "Don't flunk your math test!"
"Thanks!" Peter yelled back and left.

It was 8:25, and Peter was regretting going to school that morning. If he had known there was going to be a surprise trip to Stark Towers, he wouldn't have gone. Luckily, Flash was sick, so he wasn't there.
The second Peter walked into the lobby, chatting to Ned and MJ, someone shouted "Think fast!"
On instinct, Peter turned and caught the pen the secretary had thrown at him, blushing when he noticed everyone looking.
"Good catch, Mini Boss!" She called. Peter smiled and waved awkwardly, turning to hide himself behind Ned.
Cindy peaked around Ned, and Peter backed away. "That was cool. You really are an intern here, then? Why did she call you Mini Boss?"
Peter blushed furiously and stuttered out something similar to, "Yes, and because she wanted to, I guess."
Cindy dropped the subject and turned to listen to the tour guide, who handed out passes as he explained the levels. When he reached Peter, he also called "Think fast!" and moved his arm, but didn't thrown anything at him. Peter didn't react because his spidey senses didn't go off. The intern stared at him. "Dude! I was sure that would get you!"
Peter shrugged.
The rest of the tour went similarly, with interns, scientists, and occasionally janitors throwing things at Peter. He always caught them. His classmates were in varied states of shock, confused about how unathletic, nerdy Peter Parker had such great reflexes.
The trip ended with a Q&A with the Avengers, who had texted Peter halfway through that they wouldn't reveal his identity or connection to them. It put too many people at risk, what with his secret identity. The only person who hadn't texted him was Clint, which was giving him a bad feeling.
"Think fast!" Halfway through the Q&A, Clint drew his bow and arrow and shot directly at Peter's head. He caught it, of course, but his classmates freaked out.
"Clint!" He hissed.
"Don't worry, kid. That was probably stupid of me, but I heard you were that intern who can supposedly catch anything, and I had to try." Clint winked, letting him know his identity was safe. "The arrow is dull, too. Would have just given you a nasty bruise."
Peter threw the arrow on the ground and glared, but turned away.
With the questioning over, the students headed back to the bus.
MJ pushed Ned aside so she could sit next to Peter. Peter exchanged panicked and confused looks with his best friend.
"So, Spidey," MJ started, but didn't get to finish as Peter put his hand over her mouth.
"How did you-"
"I'm not an idiot, Parker." MJ pulled his hand away from her face. "But don't worry, I won't tell anyone."
That was the start of a beautiful friendship.

When Flash came back to school, everyone in the class defended Peter's internship. They spent the next few months throwing things at Peter until they got bored, as well.
The End.
Hope you enjoyed!
Bye!
