Sick Fic (Request)

So... this actually took forever, so sorry about that. I got very busy very quickly. I'm still busy to be honest, but I also thought I would try to get this out. (Just for the record, I'm not busy because I own Marvel. Still don't.)

Warnings: sickness. In case the title wasn't clear.

This is a request by @LeeuwinT7, I think. I didn't know how to work the other Avengers into this, so I hope this is okay.

Peter shuddered, pulling a warm blanket tighter around his shoulders. He knew he should tell Mr. Stark he was sick, but...

He didn't want to be weak.

He knew what the issue was. He forgot to take his medicine for his migraines, and now he was suffering the consequences.

It started early that morning. Peter had woken up earlier than usual for a Saturday, excited to spend the day with his mentor/father-figure in his lab. He skipped out on his medicine in the excitement of getting ready for the day. It started with blurry vision and trouble getting words out of his mouth.

Now, though, he was sitting in front of the toilet, clutching his stomach and head in turns as a pulsing pain attacked his right eye. Everything was brighter, louder...smellier.

"Peter? Kiddie? Kiddo? Underoos? Kid? Spiderling? Pete? Petey-pie?" Tony rapped on the bathroom door, a stream of somewhat embarrassing nicknames streaming out of his mouth.

Peter wiped his mouth, stood up, and opened the door for his concerned mentor. "Hey, Mr. Stark! Sorry, I..." Peter's fake smile fell off his face as his right eye gave an extra painful throb and he threw up all over Tony's shoes.

"Woah. Okay, kid. Come on."

Tony pulled Peter over to a couch, and let the kid flop on top of it.

"'M 'Kay, M-er 'ar. Ju' m'g'ne." Peter slurred out.

"I caught literally none of that kid, but judging by the symptoms, imma guess you have a migraine. I'm turning the lights off. Just sleep."

Peter could have sworn he felt a light touch of lips against his forehead before he fell asleep.

When Peter woke up, his head was much clearer. He groaned in embarrassment, pushing his head into one of the decorative pillows on the couch.

"So, kid. What was that?" Tony leaned up against the doorway.

Peter tilted his head to the side to assess his mentor. He slowly sat up, and motioned for Tony to join him at the couch.

"This is- this is kind of hard to talk through, so just let me finish before you interrupt. Okay?" Peter waited for Tony's confirmation, then continued.

"When I was 13, I was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. The last thing I did before I would have had to stay in the hospital was a field trip to Oscorp. You know; that was when I got bit by the radioactive spider. It cured my cancer, miraculously, overnight. But ever since then, I need to take some intense pain medication to not get migraines everyday. I guess I forgot it, and...yeah. I didn't want to tell you, because I thought you would think I was weak."

Tony was silent for a minute, then he reached forward and pulled Peter into a hug. "Kid, you are so strong. Migraines don't change that. Do you need some medicine right now? I can call May to get you some?"

Peter relaxed into the hug. "No. I'm good." I've got all I need right here.

Sorry for this taking so long. I've got some free time on my hands right now, so I'll see if I can't get started on another one to post soon.

Thanks for reading!

Bye!
