Peter sighed. MJ was kissing Brad, pushed up against the lockers. He knew this was happening, but he didn't want to have to deal with it yet. She forced his hand by making out with Brad in the middle of the hallway. He couldn't just ignore it anymore.

"Wow." Peter clapped slowly. "Great show, but would you mind putting it on somewhere else? I'm trying to get to class."

"Peter! I can-" MJ pulled away from Brad, startled.

"Oh! And in case it wasn't obvious," Peter glared at MJ. "We are so done."

"Hey, Peter!" Gwen Stacy from Peter's old job at the Bugle ran up. She went to a different school so they didn't see each other often. Gwen had always liked Peter, and he knew that. He liked her too, but he had been dating MJ and he wasn't a cheater.

"Hey!" He smiled brightly at her.

She blushed and stopped a few feet away from him and they walked together to Delmar's. "How's MJ?"

"Actually," Peter smiled shyly. "We broke up."

"Oh!" Gwen frowned. "I'm so sorry, that must be awful for you."

Peter shrugged. "She was cheating, so she obviously didn't care too much about me. Hey, what do you say..." He turned around to walk backwards on the street so he could face her. "You and me go on a date?"

Gwen smiled. "Yeah. I'd like that."

"Hey, everyone. This is my girlfriend, Gwen." Peter introduced Gwen to the Avengers-his family.

"Hi!" She waved.

"Aren't you Gwen Stacy? The only decent reporter for the Daily Bugle?" Tony asked.

Gwen laughed. "That's me."

"Wait!" Clint pointed back and forth between Gwen and Peter.

"It's rude to point you know." Peter commented.

"I thought you were dating MJ." Natasha spoke up for her partner.

"She cheated. We broke up." Peter shrugged. "Gwen and I are going to watch a movie. Feel free to not join." He waved and walked away with an arm around Gwen's waist.

"Bye, babe!" Peter kisses Gwen's cheek outside of his school. She dropped him off because her school was farther away. He had wanted to drive her, but she didn't want him to waste gas and pollute the environment. Also, she wanted to see his school.

"Dude!" Abe approached Peter later that day. "How did you get over MJ that quickly?"

Peter shrugged. "She cheated. I'm not gonna be hung up on someone who obviously didn't care about me." He walked away.
