Bad day (request)
Does anyone else live in a city with enough construction happening that every time you take a trip you can quote the "Road work ahead" vine like 7 times in 30 minutes? It got worse when things shut down, too. I do, but I don't own Marvel.
This was requested by @BookLover122005. I hope ya like it!
Warnings: idk. It's kind of...weird? I guess? is the only warning.
"You know-" Spider-Man panted as he fought off a group of muggers, "It really isn't necessary for you to bring 15 men to rob one teenager."
Said teenager stared incredulously at the spider themed hero. The thug he was currently fighting just rolled his eyes. Peter took that as an advantage and webbed yo the man while he was distracted.
"All done!" Spidey wiped fake dust off his hands and turned to the teen. "Are you-"
"You're a fake hero, you know that?"
Peter stopped.
Today had been a bad day. He woke up late, with a major headache. Ned and MJ were both out of school, and Flash took that as a cue to get really violent with Peter. Tony had pushed off the time to go to the tower because he had 'something to deal with.' Peter was annoyed and angry, and now he was feeling a bit insecure.
"I-"
"Oh, shut it Kid." A random passerby snorted. Peter flinched before noticing the old man was looking at the teen. "He just saved your life, or at the very least your money. Do you really want to antagonize him?"
The teen growled. "Look, My father-"
"Who's your father?" Another passerby, this time a mother with her child, asked.
The teen puffed his chest up. "I'm Jason. Jason Jimmy Jameson. My father is J. Jonah Jameson. I'm sure you've heard of him."
Peter almost laughed. If he wasn't feeling so bad about the day in general, he would have. J. Jonah Jameson was notorious for giving fake news, and for hating on Spider-Man.
The woman and the old man seemed to agree. They both burst out laughing.
"Ignore him, Spidey. He's all fake news. You are doing a great job." The woman said, gently patting the superhero's shoulder.
"Thanks ma'am. And thank you too, sir. I had better be going." Peter swung away, slightly encouraged by the cheering coming from his small support group.
As Peter arrived at the tour, and hour later than the normal time, Tony greeted him at the entrance.
"Sorry about that. The Avengers needed me for team bonding or something like that." Tony smiled, awkwardly high-fiving Peter.
Peter gave him a weak grin in return.
"Okay. What's up?" Tony said once they reached the living room and said hi to all the Avengers.
"What? Nothing! I'm fine, Mr. Stark." Peter rambled unconvincingly.
"Uh-huh. What is it?" Steve interrupted. Tony crossed him arms and stared at Peter.
Peter almost told them about his bad day, but he noticed something. An open window.
"Well, you know, I really would love to tell you," he hedged as he neared the window, "but..."
He jumped.
Steve screamed, and the rest of the Avengers hurried to the window, Clint already grabbing his grappling equipment and trying to throw it down to Peter. Tony rolled his eyes.
"Don't worry, guys. He's just avoiding his emotions." Tony walked away.
The rest of the Avengers were shocked until they looked down and saw Peter stuck to the side of the building and crawling to his bedroom window. He waved. Clint threw the grappling equipment at his head and left muttering about heart attacks.
The End.
Okay, that was short and I'm not entirely sure it's what you wanted, but I kind of didn't know where to go. I hope you enjoyed it, though!
Bye!
