Chaperones

The image above has absolutely nothing to do with this but I just find it so inspiring the Russo brothers actually made that their profile picture bless

Also I'm doing this chapter different. It'll have alternative endings.

"Ok everyone! Remember that we have our end of the year class trip this weekend! We will be camping in Acadia National Park! We will need a few chaperones, so if anyone can sign up for their guardians let me know!"

Peter could sense Ned about to tap his shoulder. He quickly looked over at him before the action was even done.

"Whoa, dude, you gotta quit surprising me like that," Ned said with a slight chuckle. "Is May gonna come with us? She usually helps chaperone these kind of trips."

"Not this time. She's got an important job interview this weekend and can't come."

"Could you ask one of the Avengers? I'm sure they'd love to come with us. Plus, they're so protective of you, they'd probably want to send someone to watch you."

"I'm not a baby, Ned!"

"Then explain 'baby monitor protocol.'"

Peter just huffed in response.

(ò_óˇ) this is Scott. He's getting ready to climb up Thanos' a$$

"Heya, Pete! What's up?" Bruce called as Peter walked into the living room of the Avengers tower.

"Hey, Uncle Bruce!"

"Got time to help me with an experiment?"

Peter sighed. "I wish. I have to start packing."

"Packing for what?"

"Well... our class trip is this weekend."

Natasha strolled into the room. "Where are you going?"

"Acadia National Park."

"Jeez, that's nine hours away!" Bucky breathed. He and Steve had just arrived from training.

"Yeah...."

The group noticed the information sheet in the arachnid's hand. Nat gently grabbed it and studied over every sentence. She wanted to know everything about this trip and just how safe her ребенок паук will be.

"Oh," she crooned, "your class needs chaperones?"

That caught the attention of everyone. More and more Avengers flocked towards the living room and eyed the paper in Nat's hands.

Soon, Earth's Mightiest Heroes were all bickering over who would chaperone their beloved web-slinger.

Eventually, a decision was made.

(Alternative endings: Bucky, Steve, Thor, Natasha, Bruce, Clint, Stephen Strange, Nick Fury, Tony Stark)

• Bucky

A few students shifted uncertainly as they gazed up at the Winter Soldier himself. He wore a plain red t-shirt, jeans, and hiking boots instead of his usual combat attire. Next to him stood dorky Peter Parker. No one could figure out just how or why one of the nerdiest kids in the school was so close to an ex assassin, but knew it would be best not to ask questions. Anyone who even glanced at Peter the wrong way was met with the steely glare of the soldier.

"Come on Uncle Bucky the bus is leaving!"

"Slow down, squirt!" Bucky laughed as he was dragged by a very excited Peter.

What the heck? Everyone else thought with bewildered expressions.

Surprisingly, as the weekend progressed, the students all relaxed more and more near Bucky. They quickly realized how kind he could be. He helped Peter stand up to Flash, let the girls braid his hair, and became friends with some young students who also had a prosthetics.

Flash no longer bothered anyone after that trip, and Bucky now had a little army of high schoolers. That weekend the "Bucky Barnes Protection Squad" was founded, with Peter as it's president.

• Steve

"Yo, Penis!" a very annoying voice called.

Peter winced. "H-hey Flash.... How's it going?"

"Great actually. I've been thinking: maybe while we're on this trip, I can feed you to a bear."

"Can't you leave me alone just this once?"

"No way Puny Parker. I'm gonna-"

"That's enough, son."

Everyone turned to see Captain America. He wasn't in his usual uniform, but the super soldier was still intimidating. His famous Eyebrows of Disappointment™️ on his face.

"Hi, Uncle Steve!"

"Hey, sport! Was this kid bothering you?" Steve frowned at Flash. "It seems to me like he was bullying you. I don't like bullies."

Flash left Peter alone the rest of the trip. Steve was like a mother hen the entire weekend. He made breakfast, lunch, and dinner for everyone. Nobody complained; Steve is a good cook.

• Thor

"GATHER ROUND SMALL MIDGARDIAN CHILDREN! WE SHALL VENTURE INTO THE FOREST TO DETERMINE WHO IS STRONG ENOUGH TO SURVIVE!"

"Uncle Thor, this isn't a survival challenge."

Thor Odinson was the last person anyone would think Peter Parker would bring as a chaperone for a sophomore class field trip. However, he was rather entertaining and enjoyed being marveled at by the young high schoolers.

That weekend Thor challenged everyone to lift Mjolnir; only Peter and MJ could lift the mighty hammer, shocking everyone- Thor included. He paraded the two on his shoulders for thirty minutes chanting "WORTHY! WORTHY! WORTHY!"

All the girls braided his hair and put flowers in his beard. Thor smiled like a child the whole time. The kids also taught the thunder god all kinds of memes and Vine references. They managed to convince him that "yeet" is a powerful battle cry.

The first night, Thor offered to start the fire. Instead of a lighter, he just summoned some lightning, setting the logs aflame with a loud BOOM.

A lighter was used the rest of the trip.

• Natasha

"Mама паук, will you please stop staring daggers into Flash?"

Natasha just happened to catch Flash Thompson bullying her little baby spider, and was fully prepared to end him in 2,357 different ways, but Peter coaxed her into just threatening him instead.

She would be chaperoning the camping trip. Nat wanted to make sure Peter would be safe. While everyone else was terrified (everyone else meaning the boys, the girls were thrilled), Peter was having the time of his life.

Natasha took it upon herself to teach self defense to the girls. Training them brought a smile to her normally stoic face. Peter grinned from ear to ear as all the girls followed her like ducklings. Natasha enjoyed herself as well.

When she wasn't surrounded by fangirls, Nat was right next to her ребенок паук. She ruffled his hair lovingly as they sat together making s'mores. Peter giggled at curled up next to her. He fell asleep soon after.

This just caused the girls to silently squeal as they took pictures (with Nat's approval).

"Send those to me later," she whispered with a wink.

• Bruce Banner

"Uhm, Pete, I'm not too sure this whole outdoors thing is a great idea," Bruce trembled. He began to have second thoughts about the trip. He loved Peter, but Bruce felt like he belonged in a lab, not the forest.

"Don't worry, Uncle Bruce! We'll be fine!"

Bruce Banner did his best that weekend to channel his inner Bear Grylls. "Improvise, adapt, overcome," he mumbled to himself as he stumbled through the woods.

By the end of the weekend, the scientist's adventure turned out fairly well. His alter ego stayed at bay, he only had 23 mosquito bites instead of his 57 average, and only got lost once (he was 30 yards away from camp).

Bruce clutched Peter's hand for dear life as they rode home.

He wasn't going to be camping again in the near future.

• Clint Barton

"CAW CAW!"

The group of sophomores looked around in bewilderment after hearing the very unnatural bird call. All of the sudden, Hawkeye came flying from a nearby tree, bow in hand.

"What's up Uncle Clint?" Peter beamed.

"Hey there little buddy!" Clint turned to the other kids. "YOU KIDS READY TO SHOOT ARROWS AT STUFF?!"

There was an uproar of cheers. The teacher was not thrilled.

The whole weekend Peter and Clint pranked Flash and his lackeys. The two Avengers convinced them that a Bigfoot was stalking the camp. Peter made Bigfoot calls in the middle of the night and Clint stomped around while covered in shrubbery. He even brought a special headset that looked like two ominous glowing eyes.

The best part: the two never got caught. Thanks to Peter Parker and Clint Barton, Flash is how fully convinced Bigfoot exists and is haunting him to this day.

• Stephen Strange

Stephen Strange sighed very audibly as he was surrounded by way-too-curious-for-his-taste high schoolers. Instead of wearing normal clothes like a normal person, he was insistent on wearing his usual attire. Peter stood right next to him with a dorky grin on his face.

"So Mr. Strange- no... Mr. Wizard Supreme sir...? No. Dr. Wizard? Mr-"

"Peter, please stick to one nickname," Strange grunted.

Peter's face suddenly lit up. "Can I call you Doctor Dad!?" He looked at the wizard with the biggest puppy eyes.

Of course, Stephen's heart was no match for the little Avenger.

"Please," he squeaked, "call me that."

No one asked why in the world a sorcerer was being followed like a puppy by a dorky Peter Parker. Nobody questioned when they heard the boy call him "doctor dad." It was best they said nothing, because if someone even looked at Peter the wrong way, Strange was completely prepared to transport them to another dimension.

Peter wandered through the forest with Strange's cloak wrapped protectively around him. He had the time of his life that weekend. Wong was amazed to see Stephen return with such a bright smile on his face afterwards.

• Nick Fury

"Mr. Fury sir? We're heading to the camp site now," Peter stuttered as he looked up at the living legend. He wasn't sure why the man was chaperoning his class field trip, but was still happy.

Unknown to the web-slinger, Clint, Scott, Carol, and Sam convinced Fury that the experience would be "fun" and "relaxing." Yet, as soon as he arrived and saw the crowd of high schoolers, he had one word on his mind:

Motherfu-

Fury reluctantly stayed after he was attacked by Peter's famous puppy eyes. The kid was growing on him. Only Peter really talked to Nick, and he followed him like a puppy. He didn't mind the attention after a while. Fury made sure to keep an eye on the boy.

When his back was turned, Flash took his chance.

"Hey there Penis!" Flash said with a cruel grin. "We missed your daily beating yesterday." He started to crack his knuckles and march closer to the anxious arachnid when and strong hand suddenly gripped his shoulder. Hard.

"If I ever catch you even looking in Peter's general direction, I'll make sure you won't be able to walk straight," Fury said. His words were laced with venom.

Flash was white as a sheet. He took off running and didn't look back. Fury glanced over worriedly at Peter when all of the sudden he felt the boy pull him into a nearly bone crushing hug.

"Thanks Mr. Fury!"

Fury smirked.

"Uncle Nick is fine."

• Tony Stark

Tony Stark is many things: Iron Man, genius, playboy, billionaire, philanthropist, Peter's dad, donut enthusiast...

Camper was not one of those things.

Yet Tony was wholeheartedly willing to venture into the forest just for Peter. The young Avenger was ecstatic his dad/mentor was coming with him.

"This is gonna be awesome!! Ned will freak when he sees you!" Peter cheered as the pulled up into the school.

Tony smiled in response. They parked, grabbed their bags, and walked over to the fancy bus surrounded by eager teens. Everyone froze once they saw Tony. He had his arm around Peter protectively. Peter grinned from ear to ear.

Ned came running to his best friend with MJ (walking) in tow.

"Dude! I didn't know Tony Stark was dropping you off!"

"Actually," Tony stated with a smirk, "I'm chaperoning."

Ned nearly fainted. On the bus, all four sat together (it was a big bus).

They finally arrived at Acadia National Park and hiked to the camping site. It was a gorgeous spot on a tall hill that overlooked a valley. In the valley ran a narrow river surrounded by wildflowers. The trees were massive and different shades of emerald.

Overall, the trip was a success. Tony nearly killed Flash after catching him bullying Peter. Peter and Ned learned how to make a fire with the help of a nice park ranger who also chaperoned the trip. Tony anxiously hovered over Peter and was very close to going into cardiac arrest when Peter almost burnt himself. MJ discussed renewable energy ideas with Tony and he made a mental note to introduce her to his team.

Tony enjoyed himself more than he ever imagined he would. He learned Vine references, memes, and all kinds of pop culture. Despite being surrounded by teens, the camping trip was relaxing. All three teenagers gave the billionaire a big group hug as soon as it was time to go home. Although Stark didn't usually let people touch him, he gratefully smiled and wrapped his arms around (his) the kids.

So yeah I've been working on this for like a week or so. Writing block has hit me hard. If the last stories seem choppy I'm sorry.

Peace
