Knows No Bounds
When Spider-Man and Thor had met, the god had taken an immediant liking him. It was something about him being a valiant warrior worthy of praise. In other words, Thor was kind of an older brother to Spider-Man.
But it all started off when some weird robots crashed into buildings.
Of course it had been New York, like it always was, and the Avengers immediately went to help.
But it had also reached Peter's ears. He was on summer break so he snuck out pretty easily. Even if it had been during autumn, he still would've figured out how to get away. Peter had slowly gotten even better at lying and acting
Another crash sounded out like a siren. Peter's ears throbbed with pain as he let out a small hiss. All that was left over was annoying ringing that would probably be there for the next few hours
"Karen, adjust my sensory settings please?" Peter asked desperately when he felt something trickle out of his ear. He didn't have to be an expert to know it was blood. Peter huffed out an annoyed breath at the inconvenience.
"Of course Peter. Would you like the Adult Parties setting?" Karen asked, her tone one of sympathy.
"Wait, Adult Parties setting?"
"Yes Peter," Karen answered dutifully. "This setting accommodates for explosions and fights that compare to Avengers level. It blocks out other people's voices if they aren't connected to the comm. I think it best suits the battle you're going into."
Wow, that actually sounded extremely useful. He really needed to explore the suit's options more. Was this just sitting around?
But he'd really have to have a conversation with Tony about the names of these things.
"Yeah Karen! Choose Adult Parties mode, please." Peter internally sighed when everything quieted down to a much more tolerable level.
He really needed to do something about his senses too, at this point they were just getting out of control.
Another crash echoed out but this time it wasn't deafening. It sounded like more muffled than anything. Peter continued to swing through the chaos and falling debris expertly dodging the stray pieces.
He saw something he didn't expect so soon. The Avengers stood in the center with their backs facing each other as the all prepared to fight the large cylindrical robots.
"Hey Karen, do you think you can link me up with Mr. Stark's comm?" He asked cheekily. It would be better to hear the surprise in his voice than giving him a warning.
"Connecting Spidey Mark-I to Avengers comm link now." Even Karen sounded a little mischevious as she caught onto his plan.
"Okay guys, we gettin' shawarma after this or what?" Tony's voice sounded in his right ear. A few repulsor beams hit the bots and they fell down without resistance.
"Uh, I was thinking, maybe, like Italian? I just had some shawarma last night." Steve rebuked as his shield cut through a half dozen of them. The silvery metal fell mercilessly into a sewer drain.
Peter decided to make himself known and electric webbed a group of bots to the ground before landing on Thor's shoulders with a flip. He knew he was light and he would probably weigh like a feather to him.
But it didn't stop the inner fanboy in him saying Oh my god I'm standing on Thor Odinson's shoulders! This is the best day of my life!
"Actually I know this good bodega called Delmar's. Their sandwiches are the- best." The last word came out as a grunt as he webbed a bot from his perch and swung it into a nearby lamppost.
He could practically feel the surprise within the group. Natasha decided to speak up.
"Hey, паук, decided to come along for an early morning beat down?" He could hear the smirk in her voice as her leg made contact with one of their faces.
"Yep! It seemed fun and potentially life threatening, so I thought why not!" Peter shrugged and glanced down at the god he was standing on.
"Hey man! How's it going?" Peter said casually. Thor grinned up at him with the force of a million suns. He would've cried right there from the innocence if it wasn't for them being in the middle of a fight.
"Spider-Man has decided to join us! Welcome to the battle, my friend!" He said joyously as his lightning struck a cluster of bots a few meters away from them.
"Kid, where the hell did you come from?" Tony shot at the machines that slowly inched closer to them.
Peter quickly continued electric webbing a few dozen of them. "You see, when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much-"
"Okay, I'm gonna stop you right there."
"Hey, by the way 'Adult Parties'? Seriously?"
"I thought it sounded creative!"
"It's clear you hadn't slept in a few days if that's the name you came up with."
Tony made an offended noise directed at him before the suits guns opened fire on everything in front of him.
Peter scanned the area from his perch (which was Thor's shoulders) at all of the robots that started to surround them. It was kind of obvious that these were not meant for them. They kept trying to get to Oscorp's building and they were also trying to harm people in the process.
The target was Oscorp.
That was when he caught a sound in his ear. A weird high pitched frequency rang in his ears and it made him wince.
Did Adult Parties not cover weird techy noises or what? It most likely had something to do with these strange robot things.
"Hey Mr. Thor, you mind going along with my plan real quick?" He crossed his arms and looked down on the god he was still standing on the shoulders of.
Thor's grin turned into one of mischief and he nodded. "Okay, so you see that building over... there?" Peter pointed at the place the frequency was coming from. It was a normal looking three story brick building.
"Uh, yes I do."
"No building here would give me enough momentum to get on top of it. That and it would take to long to climb the old fashioned way. Mind getting us up there?"
Thor seemed to crackle with a little bit of lightning before suddenly they shot up in the air. They quickly fell near the rooftop and Peter detached himself from Thor's shoulders and landed in a roll, Thor following suit.
The frequency had gotten a lot louder to the point of which it had started to physically hurt him. "Am I the only one that hears that?" Peter squeezed out as he pressed two fingers to each of his ears.
"Spider-Man, are you okay? I'm afraid I do not hear anything, sorry." Thor apologized as he adjusted his cape. Peter nodded his head back at him in a 'it's okay' manner.
"Hey Karen, do you see anything that could be causing that noise?"
"I'm sorry Peter, my sensors aren't picking up on anything unusual." Karen dutifully replied. Peter sighed and cracked his knuckles.
"Guess we'll just have to do this the old fashioned way!" Peter jogged towards the doorway to the stairwell and motioned for Thor to follow. The source of the gradually got loud enough to scramble his brains a bit. The other Avengers had come over the comm to ask what they were doing.
"I think I know where these weird bots might be coming from. The sensors aren't picking up on anything though, so it's a bit sketchy."
Peter stopped in of a door on the end of the hallway. He carefully pressed his ear against the wood and listened.
Ba bump, ba bump, ba bump, ba bump...
Over the screeching ringing in his head he heard a heart beat. It was quick and filled with adrenaline, this was the person they were looking for, he knew it.
Peter turned back to Thor, who was waiting at the ready. "Okay so here's the deal. There's a guy in there-" Thor's eyes grew determined and he got into a fighting stance. "But he's human, I'm not getting any abnormalities. So you focus on the tech in there. Make sure to overload it, I'll take care of him so you don't accidentally kill anyone, kay?"
Thor nodded and readied himself behind the vigilante as Peter slowly put his hand on the doorknob. "Hey guys," He whispered quietly.
"What is it, Spider-Man? Find anything interesting?" Clint sounded off. Peter slightly winced when he heard an explosion through the comm and Clint let out a surprised yelp.
"Me and Mr. Thor may have eyes on the chaotic genius behind this whole shindig. We're about to engage, just hold off those bots for a little bit."
He heard multiple confirmations before he subtly nodded in Thor's direction.
"Now!"
Peter quickly busted open the door and the god immediantly headed for the first tech-ish thing he could find. The first thing Peter's eye landed on was a guy with dark disheveled hair and a ratty band t-shirt.
"Hey man, how's it going?" Peter casually greeted once again.
(It seemed to be a parallel with how he said hello in these kind of situations.)
Before the man could try to escape Peter ended up webbing the guy into a cocoon and he fell helplessly onto the floor. A pop sounded off from a laptop connected to a multitude of different machines and sparks flew from the different wires. All of the lights flickered before shutting off completely.
"Nice job, man." He commented offhandedly towards Thor, who looked like he was just gifted the moon. Peter's attention landed back on the culprit, who was trying to escape the webbing. "How's everything on your end, guys?"
Peter slightly pressed down on the side of his in an attempt to hear better through the ringing through his ears.
"Everything just stopped all of a sudden. I'm assuming you found the source." Natasha said it more as a statement then a question, but it was the same anyways.
"Yep, we got an adult man, about his forties, with a trashy sense of fashion." That earned multiple snickers from the rest of the team. Peter looked at the man curiously.
"Do you ever wash that shirt? I can smell it from here!" The man looked offended so Peter had done his job right. Peter turned back to Thor who had his hand set on a cord and a proud look on his face.
"Everything shut down?" Thor nodded his head with a muttered 'yeah'. "Good. Anyways, let's get you into custody!" Peter cheerfully said as he threw the man over his shoulders.
Obviously he tried to resist and he squirmed violently on his shoulder in a futile attempt to escape from his grasp.
"So, what's your story? It's pretty clear you have something with Oscorp if your sending killer robots after him."
Peter felt the sunshine hit his mask as he walked out the doors with Thor treading behind him. The Avengers smirked at him as they caught a glance at the male over his shoulder.
The man let out a furious yell, "Osborn destroyed my entire reputation! But someone like you wouldn't even have a good reputation to start with! You can't even begin to understand!"
"Oof, I can feel the love from here buddy." Peter snarked sarcastically. "I don't like the guy either but sending homicidal robots is pushing it a little bit to far. Why don't you just send some hate mail? That outta do the trick."
The man violently thrashed in his grip and desperately tried to free himself before slumping over.
Peter handed the man over to Steve quickly so the he didn't try to make a quick escape. Though he doubted he would be able to with the Avengers and a glorified vigilante right next to him.
Peter let out a sigh as they waited for the police to arrive. Thor was crouched down on a destroyed staircase, Steve was still holding onto the culprit, Tony was just messing around with some settings on the armour, the others were kind of just pacing around impatiently.
They had been waiting for a while and Peter didn't feel like leaving the Avengers behind to clean the mess this time. He did have a reason, the reason being Scorpion is an asshole. He really did need to catch that creep though.
Peter was cut off from his train of thought when a dull buzzing appeared in the base of his skull. He let his instincts control his movements and his hand grabbed onto something.
He checked his hand and saw a pink rubber arrow clenched into his fist. Peter snapped his gaze behind him to see Clint waving with mischevious smile.
"Mr. Barton where were you even hiding this?" Peter said exasperated. He was in a very intense train of thought and he was feeling...so attacked right now!
Clint said something and Peter tensed. He couldn't hear anything! Clint's mouth continued to move, so he was definitely talking. Oh my god, was he deaf?! Were those explosions to much on his ears?! No no no no no no-
Wait a minute.
"Karen, set my sensory settings back to default please?"
"-kay, Spidey?" Clint finished. Uh, what the hell did he just say?
"Uh...what?" Peter mumbled, clearly embarrassed. Clint blinked at him with a deadpan stare. "I said, you're being quiet and that is extremely against, you know, your whole character. Are you good?"
Character?
"Oh, uh, yeah! Sorry Mr. Barton my sensory settings were off for a bit and I was just thinking about random stuff and you weren't asking about that so I'm going to shut up now." Peter ranted and closed his mouth with a snap.
That didn't seem to make Clint any less worried though, but he dropped it and wandered off to mess with Tony. Peter heard the crunch of gravel and turned to face Thor.
"Spider-Man! You were valiant with your attacks against those bots!" Thor laughed heartily and grinned down at him.

"Thanks Mr. Thor, you were awesome too! Do you know how much voltage it would take to actually shut down that machinery? Going by the type of circuit it has it would've taken at least-"
"You're such a nerd, oh my God!"
"Shut it, Barton!"
It was the start to a beautiful friendship. A beautiful, unbearable friendship.
"Spider-Man! Great work!" Thor handed Peter some random alcoholic drink. Tony immediately intercepted, "Thor no, he's in college!" The whole college lie was still a thing apparently and the Avengers noted how it would be a lot of work.
"Then he'd probably be about 21 or above?" Steve trailed off.
Thor seemed taken aback for a moment before somehow pulling out another drink, "Ah, growing boy!"
In the end, Peter got the drink because he used his secret identity to his advantage and Tony was pissed off for a straight week.
Okay, so that was the best I could do without immediately turning to vines and memes. I honestly headed into this without any idea on what to do. What do you guys think I should do next? Don't be afraid to leave any suggestions for ideas on characters and themes! Anywayyyyy, bye.
