"I just don't get how Dad does it!" I groaned covering my eyes with my hands, MJ leaned against my bed with her back against it on the floor. She flipped through some old diary of mine.
"Well, I mean your dad is Tony Stark." She raised her eyebrow as she turned around to face me. "Remember that time when we had a Christmas sleepover and he had that reindeer onesie?"
I shuttered at the memory of my dad dancing to Christmas music as he made hot chocolate for me and MJ as kids.
"Your point being? Besides making me relive a terrible memory. God, he thinks he can dance but, the man really can't."
"He's confident. Even when things don't work for him." She reached and tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear. "Y/n just be confident. You've known Peter for years , you've loved him for years. If you wanna tell him tonight, I say go for it."
I rolled over on my side and looked over at my old diary, there was a badly drawn heart with "Peter+Y/n" scribbled in the middle. Tonight, Peter asked me to the movies. I didn't know if it was just as friends. When, we were just friendly, I had no problem speaking with him. However when my tingly butterfly-causing feelings got in the way, I stumbled over my words.
But, MJ was right. I had to be confident. I wanted to tell him tonight, I want to be more.

I tried to flatten out the wrinkles in my skinny jeans, MJ slapped my hand away.
"You look beautiful, Y/n. Don't worry. Maybe," She applied some red lipstick to go with my red v-neck t-shirt. "You should be worried about him fainting at your doorstep at the sight of you."
"MJ..." I rolled my eyes laughing and flipped my hair over my shoulder. A hesitant knock sounded from my door, it was dad. "Yeah?"
"The boy's here." He grunted out, I opened up the door further. He leaned against the doorframe.
"Dad, it's peter. He literally has an internship at your laboratory."
"I know, I know." He rolled his eyes as he walked with me down the hallway, MJ slipped a mint into my hand as we walked. "I can't believe he asked my little girl on a date."
"It isn't a date," I turned into the kitchen to see Peter stand up off the stool by the counter with a boutique of red roses.
"Are you sure?" MJ whispered elbowing me lightly.
"Y/n. You look... wow." His cheeks reddened as his eyes traveled down my body, Dad stood in front of me.
"She better be home by 11pm sharp or I'm taking the suit and picking her up myself."
                "Yes, sir."
                "Dad!"
"Tony!" Mom yelled at him lightly and smiled at peter as MJ died of laughter behind us. "Have fun, you two."
We walked towards the front door together, I tried to compliment Peter when he opened the door for me.
"You look so..." I tried to control my words from stumbling. "Fine, I mean not fine. I mean you don't look bad, you look good. Like really good. So good."
Peter smiled at me with this look in his eyes that melted my insides into goo.
"Says you, you always look so beautiful."
•••••••••••••••
"That movie was so good!" Peter laughed as he turned with small churros for him and I. He handed me it as he walked through the outdoor mall.
"Thanks, Pete." I leaned into his side, I felt his hand land in the middle of my lower back. I finished off my churro and tossed the wrapper into the recycle container, Peter did the same. "It really was such a good movie, thank you for taking me."
He stopped walking and smiled at me, the look. God, his eyes. How could he do this to me? He just melts me into a puddle of butter.
"Peter, I have something to tell you." I looked down at my feet, the sidewalk illuminated by the lightbulb string lights above us. "You, good feelings. I mean."
I stepped closer to Peter. Our faces only inches apart. His eyes dropped down to my lips for a second, landing there and back up to my eyes. His pupils dilated and he gulped deeply.
           "What are you saying?"
           "Iloveyou."
I groaned and covered my eyes with my hands, he probably didn't even understand what I said with the speed I said.
"Y/n," His lips parted in confusion and rested a hand on my shoulder. I looked up into his eyes and tilted my head at the sight of the boy I loved.
I lifted to balance on my tiptoes to kiss his cheek. I rested my forehead against his. He stroked my face so lightly, I leaned into his hand.
"You make me, feel so strongly I can't get words out. It's like this force is capturing me. I've figured out what it is, Pete." His adoring stare intensified. "It's love. I love you."
His hand traveled to the nape of my neck, he stepped so closely that the space between us disappeared.
His eyes locked on my lips, he leaned in and they lightly touched mine. Hesitating for a moment, no not hesitating. Waiting.
"I love you." He whispered and I closed the close but so far ago between us. His lips met mine and the force that controlled me, ignited my veins. His lips molded against mine, moving in union for moments. We pulled back to catch our breaths that mingled together from how close we remained. I didn't care that we were in public, he was the only that mattered to me.
I felt my lips curl into a natural smile, his hand traveled down my back to connect with my hand.
He returned the smile and squeezed my hand.
