I stare at the masked hero standing behind me. He moves over to me and takes a seat next to me.

"Are you okay?" He says to me gently. His voice sounds familiar.

"No." I say hugging myself as the rain drips down my face hiding my tears.

"Did he try anything on you?" He says to me angrily.

"He just kissed me but I didn't let him go any further." Spider-Man relaxes as I say this to him. "He cheated on me. I dont feel pity because, I feel like ive always known this. I dont love him. I think I was in love with the idea of him. I just feel stupid that he cheated! He was always hanging out with girls. I dont know why I didnt see it before. God im an idiot!"

"Hey, hey, hey!" Spider-Man says grabbing my hands in his gloved ones." You're not an idiot he is."

"I should've listened to pete. " I say as hot tears roll down.

"It'll be okay. I got you y/n."

I stop crying and turned to look at him with a shocked expression.

"How did you know my name?"

"What?"

"How did you know my name?"

"Lucky guess?"

I freeze I know who it is behind the mask.

"Pete?" I say sobbing. "Is that you?"

He takes his hands out of mine and lifts his mask off his face. His disheveled soaked curly brown hair stands out and his handsome face stares back me.

"Hey." He says with a small smile. I stand up with my hands balled into fists. He stands up with me. I stare at his remorseful face.

I think of all the times he warned me and all the times he comforted me. The times he drove me home. The times he brought me soup when I was sick and flowers to congratulate me on small things like school concerts. I replace the idea of flash as the perfect boyfriend with him.

I then think about his broken face after flash kissed me many times.

"Im sorry." I say and wrap my arms around him holding on to him in the rain.

"Hey its okay." He says wrapping his arms around me.

"I should've listened to you peter. I should've realized that you truly cared for me." I say looking up at him with my arms still wrapped around him. "Do you care for me?"

"Of course."

"No like care-care for me?" I say to him nervously. "Do you like me?"

"I love you, y/n." He says to me with his beautiful brown eyes looking into mine. "I dont think I could ever stop."

I smile at him responding back with happiness to his words.

"I love you pete. I think I always have." I say running my hand through his troubled hair. "Im sorry for flash. Im sorry for never listening to you. Im sorry-"

"Hey! It's okay. I dont care about that. I mean I do because, im thinking about beating that dickhead up right now." I laugh at his words. "I only care about you right now y/n."

He holds my chin between his index finger and thumb to tilt it up to his lips.

"Can I?" I smile at him asking for permission.

"Yes Peter please."

Once he kisses me I feel butterflies bubble in my stomach. He leans back with the brightest smile ive ever seen.
"You dont know how happy I am right now." He says to me with a smile still playing on his lips. "But, y/n you know im going to beat the shit out of flash on Monday, right?"

"Lets not think about him. For now lets just walk in the rain." I say and take his hand that fits perfectly in mine.
