      You slammed the locker as your  (y/c/h) fell into your face. You tucked the loose pieces of hair behind your ear and caught eyes with Peter Parker as you turned.
MJ came into view as she stood next to Peter waving at you. You gave them a small smile even though it hurt like hell seeing them together. The day you found out they were dating you felt like the floor gave out underneath your feet.
You were in love with Peter. He was dating MJ.
It was as simple as that.
You tugged on your (y/f/c) backpack strap and walked into Mr. Harrington's class despite your heart shattering.

"Y/n!" You heard his voice from behind you and turned to look at the corner of the rectangle table where you used to sit. Beside Peter was Ned waving his hand erratically at you. He missed you at the table as did Peter and MJ. He missed talking about Star Wars with you and going over homework with you even though it was boring. He missed all the little things you used to do together with the group. You caught sight of MJ and Peter's hands that were intertwined on top of the table.
"Wanna sit by us?" MJ asked earnestly. She missed your smile and you being too optimistic at times. Your laughter and advice. How you would give her a pencil whenever she needed to "sketch people in crisis." 
         Peter missed you the most though. He missed walking to class with you and teasing you about every little thing. He missed how you would talk so passionately with him on your similar interests. He missed the inside jokes, the soft smiles on your face after he'd do something embarrassing. He missed your snarky comments on Flash. He missed his best friend.
     However, you couldn't handle sight of them holding hands.
It hurt too much.
So, you shook your head and walked away.

"Y/n! Please!" You heard Peter's voice again today and turned around. His hands landed on your shoulders to get your full attention. Once you looked into his chocolate brown eyes, you felt your heartbeat painfully. "Just talk to me.. please! What's wrong?"
You quickly turned yourself away but felt his hand on your shoulder pull you back. His right hand grabbed yours and pulled you into a close alley.
"What happened?"
"Peter please-"
"Was it something I did? We miss you! Ned misses you! MJ misses her best friend!" He sighed and folded his arms giving you a look that almost finished the job of breaking you. "I miss you."
It hurt too much. It all hurt too much. Seeing MJ and Peter always together. Never talking to Ned because he was always around them. Them kissing. Holding hands. Laughing. Smiling.
As you broke. Shattered at the sight of them.
"I just-" you wrung your hands together nervously and looking him into his eyes once again. "I just don't want to be your friend anymore. I cant handle it... If that means saying goodbye to the group, I guess that'll have to happen."
"Y/n! What does that mean? Y/n please! Why don't you want to be friends? Please!" You shook your head as he called from behind you. Warm tears made patterns on your face, you felt broken.
