"How much should I pay you to take you somewhere else, sweetheart?" The gruff old man winked lazily at me. I adjusted my apron and sat his beer on the table while collecting his tips.
"Thanks but, no." I sarcastically answered and walked away to behind the counter. Benny, the cook flipped a burger and looked up at me as I sat a tray down.
"Kid, go home. It's late and you've been working your ass off."
He turned around and grabbed a white paper bag, I took it in my hand. It had tons of fries and a hamburger. My eyes teared up at the sweet gesture.
"Thanks, Benny," I softly smiled and gave him a quick side hug. "I'll be early tomorrow morning, don't worry."
"Sleep in, kid."
"Not a chance."
I left the diner avoiding the greasy annoyed man who was upset I had turned him down. I plopped a fry into my mouth, the delicious food somewhat settling my hungry stomach. Suddenly, I felt a itch on my neck, the hairs started to raise as I walked down the streets walked down the streets. Hearing footsteps behind me, I tried to remain calm. My breathing started to pick up. I sneakily reached into my bag, grasping my keys between my fingers. I looked to the windows next to me to see who was following.
The man from the diner.
I swallowed nervously as I felt my mouth go dry. Seeing a small crowd of people come ahead, I walked through them in a zigzag pattern into an alleyway. I looked down the alley and saw an opening, it was dark and muddy puddles decorated the floor but I was away from him. I could find my way home.
I walked slowly down the alley, careful not to slip on any trash. I felt a bit better, my heartbeat slowed down and let out a shaky relieved breath.
"Sweetheart," Heavy rough hands grabbed my shoulders and pulled me backwards into the chest. My food flew out of my hands and landed into a puddle. I tried to scream but he covered my mouth.
"Shhh," He whispered into my ear, the smell of liquor engulfed me. I tried to breath quickly through my nose, almost as if I was suffocating. "You said no, I'll convince you to say yes."
I bit his hand as hard as I could, a copper taste touched my tongue. I made him bleed. He yelled out in pain and pushed me onto the floor.
"That's it," he gripped me up by my clothes and was ready to hit me until something webbed up his hand. It pulled his arm back and something made a cracking sound. "My shoulder!"
"Serves you right, didn't your mother tell you not to hit woman?" Spiderman said as he appeared on a webstring upside down. The man swung punches at him but, spiderman moved his head missing them each time. "Oh wait? Lemme guess."
He flipped off the string and leaned against the wall.
"Hmmm... Mommy didn't love you, did she?" He spoke in terrible British accent. "And dad left to get the milk for... ever?"
"You prick!" He screamed and ran to punch his face, Spider-Man moved out of the way and the man crashed into the wall.
"Dude! Did you drink a whole liquor store or something?"
"Like six pints of beer, actually." I groaned rolling over to push myself up. Spider-Man punched the man in the jaw with so much force, he flew into the wall and was knocked unconscious. He webbed him agains the wall and walked over to me, he held out his hand for me to take.
"Are you okay?" He asked gently as I wiped a few tears off my face. I nodded gratefully and hugged him.
"I probably smell like sewer water thanks to him." I joked and leaned back still wrapping my arms around his neck. "Thanks for saving me, you're my hero. How can I repay you?"
I pulled out my wallet from my back pocket and held out my tips to him.
"No, it's fine," he refused the money kindly. "How bout we get you something to eat?"
"Oh! It's okay really. I should be the one repaying you."
"You can repay me by letting me get you some food."

"So, you see this view every night?" I asked in disbelief. The top of building was high up but it didn't matter when I saw the twinkling lights of the city and the sky cast over it. It was beautiful.
"Yep," he smiled and sat on the ledge, his feet hanging down. I sat a foot back, too afraid to be so close to the ledge. "How's the sandwich?"
"Really really good." I smiled and took a huge bite. I laid onto my back looked up at the stars.
"You can see all the stars tonight." Spider-Man whispered, laying next to me.
"So beautiful."
"Yeah." He replied and I turned my head to catch him staring at me, he cleared his throat and pointed out a constellation.
"Hey," I grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "Promise me that we will hangout again."
"I'm free tomorrow tonight." He replied not letting go of my hand.
"Me too." I scooted over to him, almost laying my head on his shoulder. "It's a date."
