    Peter and MJ leaned against the wall silently but passionately kissing. MJ's lips were glued to your boyfriends. His hands woven into her brown locks.
     "Peter?"
     Both of them broke apart without hesitation to see you heartbroken.
      "Y/n... I can explain."
       "Explain? Explain..explain.. explain what? What exactly? That you're cheating on me!" You tore off your backpack and threw it at his face to keep the distance from closing between you two. "And with MJ? MJ why? How long has this been going on?"
        "Y/n, I-"
        "Peter, how long has this been going on?" You pointed a finger into his chest where his heart would be. Tears rose in his eyes and he swallowed slowly.
         "A week."
         "When it was homecoming?"
         He stood silently and looked at the floor. He then nodded.
          "Oh my god.. I hate you! I hate you!" You screamed pounding your fists on his chest. "How could you! It's my mother birthday today! We were supposed to go to the dinner together! We were supposed to be at homecoming only together! We were together! And you..."
         You looked over to MJ who stared back with tears streaming down her face. You gave her a face that you could only describe as pain. And then you painfully tore your eyes back to Peter.
         Peter who you loved.
         Peter who was there for you.
          Peter who cheated on you.
         "You b-broke my heart, Peter."
          "I'm sorry."
           "Sorry for what? Breaking my heart? Or getting caught?" You sobbed as you picked up your bag and reached up to yank the chain of your necklace that Peter got you for your birthday. You held it out in your hand and threw it on the ground.

          "Y/n? Sweetie?" You mother coxed opening the door a crack so far that you could only see her face. "Your friend is here."
           "I don't want to see her."
           "It's a him, actually." Ned interrupted through the wooden door in the hallway. You pulled the comforter up more onto your shoulders.
             "Ned?" You sat up and looked at your mother who nodded with a smile. "He can come in."
              "Y/n..." He entered into the room saying. You threw off the comforter and ran to give him a hug as you cried. "I didn't know, I'm so sorry. You deserve better."

           You held hands tightly with your boyfriend through the mall as you window shopped for something for your mother. It was her birthday. The anniversary of the day you found out that  Peter cheated on you.
        You looked over to Ned who returned a smile and softly pecked you on the cheek.
         Ned had molded you back together after that day. He never left your side. He sat with you at lunch everyday. Listened to you cry on the phone at night. He was always there for you through it all.
         And that's how you fell in love with him.
         "I love you, Ned."
          "I love you too, Y/n." He replied squeezing your hand in his. You looked back in front of you to see Peter and MJ frozen at the sight of you both. You smiled at them softly.
         Somehow, you knew it'd be alright.
