Hey Pedro
Today was just a normal day of being the son of genius ex-playboy billionaire philanthropist Tony Stark, the nephew of all the avengers, oh and the masked 15 year old superhero Spiderman! Yep totally normal.
Everything was going great in Peter Parker's life. His nightmares had finally stopped, he had a great father that adopted him, he was closer than ever with the avengers and he was getting even better grades than normal!
Well everything was going great, until this happened:
"Hey Pedro come out here for a minute!"
*flashback*
Peter woke up at 10:00. It was a Saturday so he was relieved that he didn't have school. Don't get him wrong, he liked it and he got good grades, but he just wanted a break.
"Hey Fri, open the blinds please." Peter asked groggily. The blinds opened letting the fresh and warm sunlight in.
Peter hopped out of bed, and walked into his bathroom with a yawn. He brushed his teeth and combed his hair as best as he could. He threw on some sweatpants and a hoodie, and made his way to the kitchen.
"Hey Pete how'd ya sleep?" Tony asked as he downed his probably 4th cup of coffee.
"Mm good." Peter said as he stretched out.
Tony chuckled. "That's good. I was thinking we could update our suits a bit today, what'd ya think?" Tony asked.
Peter's eyes lit up.
"Yea!" He jumped and fist bumped the air.
"Woah there spider, let me finish my coffee first. Go bug your Uncle Steve and Uncle Bucky for a bit." Tony replied.
Peter ran down the hallway.
"Uncle Steve! Uncle Bucky!" He shouted.
"We're in here Peter!" Steve shouted back from the TV room.
Peter walked into the room.
"Hey Peter how's it going?" Bucky asked.
"It's great! Me and dad are gonna update our suits soon!" Peter said excitedly.
"Cool! What are you gonna put in it?" Steve asked. He loved listening to the kid ramble. With everything the poor kid has gone through, he still gets excited about the smallest of things and that made Steve happy.
"Well I'm gonna try and compress my web fluid so I can fit more in my shooters so I won't run out of webs during a fight because, trust me, it sucks when that happens. I'll also update Karen so that she can be able to detect heat signatures in buildings so that way if I'm ever saving people from a fire, I'll know where they are!" Peter rambled.
"Sounds great kid." Bucky smiled. He also loved seeing the kid so happy. In fact, all the avengers did. He was the youngest of the group, of course they were all overprotective.
"Peter, sir requests your presence in the lab." Friday announced.
"Bye Uncle Steve! Bye Uncle Bucky!" Peter said as he bounded up he stairs.
He arrived at the lab to see Tony had already laid out both suits and set up two work stations for them. Peter hopped over and began his work.
A few hours later and Peter was finished. He was about to start talking when he heard a voice from outside the door. It was Clint.
"Hey Pedro come out here for a minute, you've been locked in there all day!" Clint shouted.
It was as if time stopped. Peter felt like he was in slow motion. He could hear his heart beating in his chest. He felt like he was back in the car, with Toomes telling him he was going to kill everyone he loved. Or he was sinking deep into the lake thinking all hope was lost. Or he was trapped under that damned building and he couldn't breathe, he couldn't see, he couldn't hear and he couldn't move. Or he was falling from the sky in that plane, and crashing into the sand below only to be rammed into the ground until he was on the brink of death.
"-ete. -eter! Peter!" Tony was yelling. Peter was laying on the floor. 'When did I fall?' Peter thought to himself. He blinked at stood up.
"Peter what was that? Are you alright?" Tony asked with concern in his voice. Peter still couldn't speak. He just kept thinking... about... about him.
"Yo Pedro! What's takin so long?" Clint asked from outside. This just sent Peter into another spiral.
"Clint get in here!" Tony yelled. He never called Clint by his first name unless it was something bad, so Clint ran into the room.
"What's happening with Peter?!" Clint asked as he saw the boy curled up and shaking.
"I don't know! One minute he was fine, and then you come down here and call him Pedro, then he-" Tony was cut off by Peter screaming.
"No! Help me! I'm trapped under here! Help! I'm stuck! I can't move! I can't..." he stopped screaming and started to cry instead.
Tony and Clint looked at one another confused. They didn't hesitate to run to Peter's side though. They crouched on the ground beside him and tried to bring him back to reality.
"Peter."
"Peter!"
"PETER!"
Peter snapped back and looked around him to see a very worried Tony and Clint.
"Peter are you okay, what happened?" Tony asked.
Peter knew he had no choice but to explain everything to them. He had no choice. He couldn't risk them mentioning a trigger word or something and him freaking out like this again.
"I-I need to tell you all something." Peter said quietly.
"Alright, then tell us!" Clint said.
"No, I need to-to tell everyone." Peter said. He knew being able to talk about it might help him relieve some of his PTSD. He knew most of the avengers had it anyways so they would understand.
"Fri, meeting in the common room, now." Tony said as he eyes Peter suspiciously.
They walked into the common room to see Bucky, Steve and Natasha waiting for whatever big news was happening. Clint took a seat beside Nat.
"Alright guys, Peter apparently has something to tell us." Tony announced. He then sat down on the couch beside Steve.
"O-Okay... so you guys remember homecoming right?" Peter asked. The avengers nodded.
"With the bird guy that you took down?" Clint asked.
"Yea So... I didn't tell you guys the whole story." Peter rubbed his neck nervously. The avengers urged him to continue.
"Well, a few days after he almost drowned me in a lake, I asked my crush Liz to homecoming. It turns out that the vulture was Liz's dad, and when we were in the car on our way to homecoming... he figured out that I was Spiderman. I-I remember him pulling out a gun and pointing it at my face, telling me that if I ever interfered with his business again he would kill me and everyone I love. It was my worst fear..."
"Oh Peter..." Natasha started.
"Then, when he put the gun away, he forced me to-to thank him for 'saving' my life. His plan was to hijack your plane dad, and I couldn't let him do that so I followed him. I followed him all the way to this abandoned wearhouse where we fought for a bit. But then..." Peter took a deep breath, "then he took out all of the support beams and-and the building fell on me. I remember his exact words. 'Sorry Pedro, it's a shame. You and me are the same you know?' I couldn't move... I couldn't breathe... it was... so horrible."
"Pete why wouldn't you tell us this..." Steve asked.
"This is why you panicked when I called you Pedro. I'm so sorry Peter." Clint said with guilt in his voice.
"There's more... I managed to get out from under the building and I made my way up to the plane to stop his hijacking. Eventually the plane started to go down. I-I crashed with the plane onto that beach. I was wearing my homemade suit so I didn't have much protection, but I figured that was it. It wasn't. Vulture grabbed me, and he-he slammed me into the ground over and over again until I could feel myself slipping away. He threw me to the ground and tried to take off with some stolen stuff. I looked up and saw that his wing pack was gonna explode. I tried to save him but he wouldn't listen. His wing suit exploded and I flew back. I got up and saw him trapped in a wall of fire with the wingsuit on top of him. I ran through the fire and lifted the burning metal off of him. I webbed him up and left before anyone showed up. It took me weeks to heal, and when I did I remember the constant panic of vulture telling all my enemies my secret identity. I'm sorry I never told you guys before I just didn't want you to worry about something that already happened." He finished.
"Oh Peter. You know you can tell us anything and we promise that we can work through your panics together okay?" Tony said as he hugged his son.
They decided to go out for dinner, so they headed out to Dairy Queen and had a wonderful time eating ice creams and milkshakes. Peter felt safe with them. Safer than he'd ever felt before.
Awww I love me some ending fluff! I hope this chapter didn't suck too much it's really late when I wrote this so it's not the best quality. Anyways thanks for reading!
