Prolouge
The moon hung in the sky, illuminating the the shadowy tress as a black and brown tom slipped his way through the forest. He didn't like the twolegplace any more than the next cat but this trip would be worth it in the end.
Soon he left the forest and slipped silently around the corner of a large twoleg nest, keeping close to the walls in the shadows.
He paused where the dark entrance to a Twoleg nest offered a little shelter. How much farther? This place stinks. But It'll be worth it.
The tom's whiskers twitched in anticipation. He had already launched a plan that would turn his most hated enemies into helpless prey in their own territory. If things went according to plan, this expedition into Twolegplace would give him all he had ever wanted.
Harsh yellow light angled across him, and he flinched as a monster roared around the corner. He kept on going and stopped by the entrance to a narrow alley and opened his jaws to draw in the scent of the air. He wrinkled his nose in disgust and turned into the alley. He stopped short after just a few paces when a huge shape stepped out from the shadows.
"Who are you?" A broad-shouldered dark gray cat stepped out of the shadows.
"Greetings." the black and brown warrior meowed steadily. "I am hear to speak with your leader."
The dark gray cat narrowed his eyes and was silent for a few moments. He then stepped back, allowing the black and brown tom to pass. His hostile glare scorched his fur, but he said nothing.
The black and brown tom padded on treading cautiously as the light faded behind then. On either side, skinny cats were slinking behind piles of rubbish, eyes gleaming as they watched him. The cat's muscles relaxed. If this meeting went wrong, he was prepared to fight his way out.
The cat looked around, looking for the leader of these Twolegplace cats.
"Who are you and what do you want?" Came a meow from behind the black and brown cat.
The black and brown warrior turned to find a dark tortoiseshell cat sitting on a large pile of rubbish. Muscles were visible under his thin pelt and his dark green eyes made the black cat's fur prickle. Next to him sat a larger bright yellow tom with burning amber eyes.
He padded forward and dipped his head to the tortoiseshell cat. "I assume you are the leader. My name is Frogfang. I am a Warrior from ShadowClan and I have come to make a deal with you. It could be to every cat's advantage."
"What type of deal?" The tortoiseshell's voice was dark and low, like the rumbling of thunder.
"It's simple." Frogfang meowed, unsheathing his claws and examining them. "If you and your cats help my defeat and rule my clan, I'll let you and two cats of your choice to rule the other three clans. You can spread out your cat between the clans in any way you want."
"It's tempting." The yellow tom mewed, his voice just as deep as his leader's.
The tortoiseshell cat leapt from the pile and walked forward until he was muzzle to muzzle with Frogfang. His dark green eyes bore into Frogfang's amber ones and his voice was loud and clear.
"My name is Ripper and we have a deal."
