Darkness subverts me.
The deep, dark abyss...
My breath hitches.
My eyes just lay awake.
I feel its hand touch me.
My body fully shakes.
My mind is half aware
Of the things that will persist.
I slide and glide down slowly.
Consciousness evokes me.
Swiftness is my guide.
Soon I lose my life.
I feel its icy fingers
Grasp my soul so lightly
Like silk, and toss it down
Into the dark abyss...
