Free's decision
Shu sat down with his head in his hands. It's been nine days since the maids ran away from the hideout and Theodore had been worrying if they would give away the place to the police or any other forces. Fubuki had been fearing if Toko will tell Nika about the truth. None of that concerned Shu Kurenai.
He wanted Toko back.
For nine days he had been hoping that all was a bad dream, and he'd wake up to see Toko Aoi near his bed, giving a cup of coffee and snacks. But that never happened. He lost his light forever- again.
Now marrying Free. He want to punch that annoying blonde's face and also his father's when they talk about it. He wanted to kill himself, then he'll be reunited with his grandmother, who always gave him freedom and rights against his father.
"Gramma?"
"Hm..?"
"What will happen if you leave me forever?"
"Hah! Like hell I will!"
That was what she said.
But good things always come to an end, no matter how much you want it.
Shu bit his hand in frustration. He does that every time he's stressed. The taste of his own blood is quite calming. He directed his thoughts away from the aqua-haired maid as much as possible, but his face kept popping up, like someone had pasted a picture of him in front of his face.
Shu stood up violently, knocking his chair down in the process. He pursed his lips and went out of his room, for a small talk with his father. He didn't want this marriage, no matter what the consequences.
"Father, we need to talk-" Shu started barging into Theodore's office, but halted when he saw Zac and Free sitting on the chair in front of the desk.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T WANT THIS MARRIAGE, MR. DE LA HOYA!?" Theodore roared. Free didn't even flinch at the outburst, choosing to sit quietly looking at his lap.
"Answer me you little-"
"I think that would be enough" Zac said, still in his cheerful voice but slightly raised, making Theodore get the fact that the older blonde was indeed very angry, "Free, please explain the situation." Zac continued.
"I have a girlfriend who I love very much. Though she isn't very rich or popular, she's very nice and I don't intend to leave her anytime soon. Her family runs a bakery and I'm sure that your younger son knows her very well."
Theodore froze. Zac frowned and kept his hand on Free's shoulder, "A bakery girl..?"
"Please dad."
Zac looked at his son's desperate face, and turned to his ally.
"I'm sorry, Glass. But if my son doesn't want it, I don't either." Theodore's eyes turned dark, "What?"
"You heard what he said." Shu said from nowhere. All the three looked at him. Free smiled gratefully. Theodore stood up and walked towards Shu, grabbing his collar afterwards.
"You do what I say, not anyone else." He spat venomously. Shu stood with a blank and taunting face to annoy his father even more. Theodore harshly let go of him, causing the albino to fall on the ground with a grunt of pain.
"Watch your movements, Glass." Zac said angrily as he stood up. Theodore turned to him, "What do you have to do with it?" Zac bit his lip, but Shu said, "He's my friend"
Theodore snorted, "Right, friends you say. Let me make this clear. You are not supposed to have friends."
Shu sneered, but didn't say anything. Zac looked as if he was debating whether to leave or stay, but eventually bowed, saying, "I'll take my leave." And left with his son not far behind.
Before Theodore turned to him, Shu used his quick reflexes to run out of the room. But as he reached his room and locked the door, he saw Fubuki sitting on his bed.
"Nika talked to Free."
Shu blinked.
"Nika told him to leave you alone and that to not pretend just for the mafia. And it looks like your feelings are returned...Shu."
"Eh?"
"Toko likes you, as she said."
Shu blinked, but with a blush this time. Fubuki smirked at his shy brother.
"Go get all lovey dovey with your man, and just leave this single ass here" Fubuki said jokingly, but Shu recognised something in his voice, a determination to help him escape this hell he was living in. Suddenly, he felt a greater respect to Fubuki than anyone he knew.
"Pack up."
Shu nodded and moved frantically in his room, taking things which are useful and valuable to him. Fubuki smiled in satisfaction.
"Just pretend as if everything is normal for this week, but once we reach Sunday night, you're going to the Kaneguro mafia hideout, where you'll meet Nika. She'll take you to the Aoi family safely."
