(Unedited)

It's been one week since I met Aiden after our little confession of love, well only from my part, he hasn't told me the magical three words yet, I don't understand why but I respect his decision of me wanting to heal first.

I still feel a little hurt whenever I think of my dream guy, his little memories that I painted and stored hung throughout my bedroom, and looking at it now and then, provoked me to end up in tears and memory lane, Liz suggested me to take them down, although it was breaking my heart, I decided to take upon the advice.

I placed the painting of my dream, our silhouette couple from the wall inside the cardboard box next to the picture of the white frock, every picture brought fresh tears and fresh wounds but I convinced myself that this was for the best.

After placing every single reminder, I taped the box and took it to our storeroom, Liz wanted me to throw them away, out of sight, out of mind was her little advice, I knew she was right but throwing them away didn't settle right inside my head, so I decided to place it at the farthest corner of our storeroom.

I locked the room after keeping it safe and walked down to school after picking mine and Cole's lunch. Cole has been ecstatic since I told him about our little moment, trying to minimize the detailings since it was his brother but thanks to my mother for spilling all the beans to him, very vividly from what she encountered that was, now I have three fans, fangirling our love story, awesome!

I parked the car and walked inside of the place I once called the hellhole. Truth is said, the school has been good these days with Cole.

"Arghhhhhhhhh" I heard someone screech in my ears, I turned and saw Cole with a shocked expression.

"What?" I barked and rubbed my ears, it hurts.

He pointed his fingers to my shoulders, I check it and saw a huge black spider resting on my sleeves, my defenses enhanced and I followed suit with Cole, "Arghhhhhhhhh! Take it away Cole please, God! Someone save me! Help, help!"

Cole laughed loudly, took the spider, and shook it at my face, it was plastic, p l a s t i c, plastic! I looked at the culprit behind this, laughing maniacally.

"What the heck bro! I hate spiders!" I yelled at him, he stopped laughing for a minute, looked at my face, and doubled his laughter, irritating me to the core.

"Idiot!" I shouted and stormed to my first class of the day.

The school jocks entered in with jovial laughter and loud chit-chat, at least they were having a good time unlike being thwarted by monsters.

I watched them for a few more minutes, they seem... Hmm... Okay actually, yes they were jocks but being raised wealthy does that to you, they were silver spoon-fed by their parents.

If only their parents raised them to understand the lives of mediocre people, they could be good too but what could you expect from this modern world, where ninety percent of the people run behind riches, money decides who to be treated right and with respect, it decides class, dividing us by wealth and riches and we, stereotypical humans runs behind it.

My worldly thinking came to halt when I noticed a black eye on Nathan, I wondered what happened to him, ostensibly he would have caught up in a fight but I have been judgy enough about him so I decided to ask it.

I walked to him and struggled with how to start the conversation, I haven't apologized to him for yelling on the phone, I was hurt and he was annoying but I knew I was rude, I felt bad a couple of days later when we ignored each other like the plague.

"Uhmm" I cleared my throat loudly, which caught his attention, he raised his head to me and nodded in acknowledgment.

"That seems like it would hurt" I asserted slowly, pointing my finger at his left wounded eye.

He raised his eyebrows in question, a small mock smile forming in the edges, "piece of cake" he declared.

"Hmm, yeah?" I played along and jabbed a finger at his eyes in emphasis.

"Aww, that hurts Ele" he winced in pain.

"Piece of cake!" I announced and he growled.

"Come on, let's go put some ointment on it" I advised and he shook his head and replied, "no, it's alright".

"Want me to jab again?" I asked him seriously, he covered his eyes with his hands immediately, making me want to laugh, he looked like a kid with a broken leg, trying to hide it from his mother so that he could avoid medicines.

"Alright golden king, don't make a fuss, come on or I'm most likely poking your eyes in the next five seconds" I blackmailed him and started counting loud, "one, two, three, tick, tick, tick, four, get ready for the pain, tick, tick, tic..."

"Alright, let's go!" He announced and got up from his seat, we had ten minutes for our first class to start and I hoped to get back before it does.

"Why are we going to the parking lot?" He asked on our way to the car.

"To get in the backseat and kiss away the pain" I replied and he stilled.

I turned to look at him, he was frozen on the spot, his face blank, and hands clenched, I wondered if he took it seriously.

"Jeez king, I was only joking" I responded to him, he smiled slowly but it didn't reach his eyes like it usually does.

"Why are we going to your car?" He repeated after a minute.

"I've got better first aid supplies than the school does" I answered him proudly.

"Like mother, like daughter" he mumbled under his breath but it was audible.

"Excuse me?" I asked him, what did he mean by that?

"Your mother is a nurse so yeah, you would stock up on medicines" he answered in facts.

"You know my mother?" I inquired while taking out my small first aid kit from the car's dashboard.

"Yeah, met her once at the hospital, she's like you," he said with a smile.

"Genes!" I replied with a smile of my own and unpacked the cotton dabs and antiseptic cream.

I opened the car passenger door and gestured for him to sit, there was no way that I could treat him when he was so much taller than me, I'm somewhere near his neck.

He sat on the seat, I started to apply the antiseptic cream from my hand tenderly while he spoke, "no, I mean, yes you look most like your mother but what I meant was she was more you in the behavior department too, polite, innocent but knew how to leave her marks and be rude when needed".

I smiled at his elaborated answer, I carefully placed the cotton on his eyes and secured it with plasters.

"There you go Jack Sparrow, we are done!" I announced and he got up from the seat.

"Thank you Ele," he said sincerely.

"Like mother, like daughter" I repeated his words. I liked what he noticed about myself and my mother, finding the smallest gestures seemed sweet but thanking him for that felt a little awkward so ignored the topic completely.

I heard the bell ring, declaring us late in other words.

"Shit dude! I'm late because of you" I accused, grabbed his hands and ran inside the school as much as my legs would allow me to.
