i honestly don't know what to write

haven't a single thought in my mind

yet the deadline is approaching

i am quickly running out of time

fingers hover over the page so long

while my gaze lingers at the stars

Eyes heavy now with drowsy dreams

Languid warmth in an empty jar

the words just seem to be hiding

inspiration has just slipped away

images have all become veiled

i honestly have nothing left to say

A search that seems to be futile

since incentive marooned my mind

Words dither at the pencil tip

Wilted emotions is all I find

i'm sorry that I have disappointed you

i reached deep into my soul

but my hands grasped not a memory

in this deep, empty, dark hole

I hardly know what to write anymore

I just know that it has been done

I am sorry that I have disappointed you

But you have to agree it was fun
