Theory #4

Virgil didn't cross over because the 'Dark Sides' were awful. (I'm not using listing for this theory)

As I mentioned in my last theory, Virgil has always been very protective of Thomas. He cares about Thomas and wants to help him in any way he can. Janus also showed the same behaviour in the redux episode. He wanted to help Thomas and he knew that going to the call-back was the thing that Thomas wanted. We learned in Accepting Anxiety that Virgil isn't terrible and we learnt in the redux episode that neither is Janus. Neither of them want to hurt Thomas, they just might accidentally hurt him. We've never had any proof that the 'Dark Sides' are awful, we just know that Virgil crossed over. All the Sides (excluding Remus) want to help Thomas but the 'Light Sides' seem to help him more than the 'Dark Sides'. What if the reason Virgil crossed over wasn't because the 'Dark Sides' were terrible but because he saw that he was hurting Thomas by staying as a 'Dark Side'. The 'Dark Sides' have a more negitive effect on Thomas than the 'Light Sides' do so maybe the only way to be listened to is to cross over or to force your opinion into the conversation, like Janus did, and risk hurting Thomas even more. The 'Light Sides' were reluctant to listen to Virgil before Accepting Anxiety and the only time they listened to Janus was when he was pretending to be Patton in Can Lying be Good and Logan in SvS Redux. I kind of covered this theory a little more (and a bit more graphically) in my story Pride and Predjudice so read that if you want to get a better grasp on this theory.

Tell me what you think in the comments. Please?
Bye,
Queenie.
