Again, not really a theory about the Sides themselves, more like Sides as a concept.

So, we've all got Sides, right? This is not new information. And most of us have empathy, right? A term for empathy is 'put yourself in someone else's shoes'. That means imagine yourself in their place and how you would react to their situation.

Well, I think that in order to feel empathy, we must have a Side of either the opposite biological sex or one of the opposite genders. For example, a cisgender girl would have one boy Side so I could empathise with boys if I so wished. A cisgender boy would have one girl Side so he could empathise with girls if he so wished. A MTF would have one male Side and the rest of their Sides would be female because they identify as a woman but would still empathise with men, hence the one male Side. Same with FTM except switched. They would have one female Side and the rest would be men. A non-binary person would have one male Side and one female Side so they could feel empathy.

This is just how I think it would work. Obviously, it's not the same for everyone but this is how it works for me. Hence Jessie (my Anxiety) being male so I can empathise with males.
