Basic information:
-was born with two souls, one the original and the other a demon soul that can only survive if inhabiting a body.
-usually the original soul will be killed once the demon soul has awakened (usually through a big event, such as trauma)
-this wasn't the case here, the demon soul decided that they liked the original soul and are cohabiting with the original soul peacefully.
-when the demon soul is in full control, the body appearance will change into a different person.
-when the original or demon soul uses their demonic abilities, eyes will turn black and black markings will appear.
-if original or demon soul has become feral, the demonic marking will show, as well as: black and sharp thick nails, upper and lower canines will become sharper and slightly longer, shadows will become more jagged around them and the shadows they use to attack will also be jagged and uncontrolled.
-cannot die (no known weapon or poison has permanently killed them.

Abilities
-can eat souls (main food of Arlyn), and if they haven't eaten enough souls they will go feral and may go into a coma if put off for too long. Souls can help heal injuries and infections, as well as heal the body enough to come back from the dead.
-can see souls, as well as judge how "good" or "evil" a soul is based on the colour (using a grayscale) and texture
-has some minor control over creatures from the "netherworld"*; such as the cwn annwn.
-can control shadows (mainly their own and others) and manipulate them into different shapes (only if the shadow is still touching the original source).
-is in contact and communication with shadow animals [can only be seen by Aryln and by association (name), as well as beings from the netherworld].
-can drag people and souls to hell or to the netherworld.
-can crush/grab souls while they are still in the living person/being (usually only used as a threat).
-can use the shadows to portal and to store objects.
-can go into the netherworld (although doesn't like to because its dangerous and scary.
-promises and deals**
>when either of them promise something of their own volition (usually towards a certain person or group of people), they are binded to that promise. Only a one sided situation. No ability or magic can change the nature of the promise. If promise is broken, they we be in lots of pain and may forever be in constant pain until either forgiven or truly dead.
>deals are more common and are made through a two way contract (whether or not either party is willing). The best way to make a deal is with eye contact (changing eyes to black to see the soul is best) and with a hand shake. If either party breaks the deal, without agreement of it being broken, consequences will happen; if consequences are not already laid out as apart of the deal, it will happen organically (ex: insomnia, hallucinations, memory loss, nightmares, etc

*this is an in between world where some evil souls go (not quite hell) or where vile creatures live/born are or where some creatures take souls to. It looks a lot like when Frodo puts on the ring in LOTR

**wording must be precise and can be taken literally, this leaves the opportunity for loopholes to happen if the promise or deal isn't detailed to cover the possibility of loopholes
