Art Entry for Blossom +Flora Foundry stuff

DTYIS entry for Blossoms_Gemz

Finally managed to complete this, it was quite fun experimenting with some stuff here though.
Anyways, have Milo eating some blueberry waffles :)

So uhhh I tried to take an attempt in drawing Sonic again but this time drawing a specific pose from the IDW comics. I think I'm getting there though, just slowly :')

Felt the need to do some hand practices so here are my attempts at it while also drawing a specific character's gloves.

So uhhh now that I'm in the Sonic fandom as well as making an AU for it, I have just been doing you know, just a little research-

...What have I done? This is just like when I started to watch a lot of the Foolish crew videos for their vocabulary uses. Now I gotta read a lot of the Sonic Wiki for this.
Look, I just wanna write accurate characters for the AU alright, I can promise you this isn't insanity-

And oh? What's this?

(I gotta make something for the BS rp soon as well because today was the Role play's anniversary-)

Anyways, that is all I have for today. I do have more to share at the bottom of this but I didn't want to bore or overwhelm anyone with larger paragraphs so scroll down at your own risk...
Other than that have a good day or night! Thanks for checking in. I gotta study for school now-

[Large paragraph warning below]

Oh and I've also been looking through the Sonic franchise and found out about Zero/Infinite. SEGA has definitely ruined this character due to a terrible backstory introduced in the game of Sonic Forces but I believe I have come up with my own version that explains Infinite's backstory from Flora Foundry at least.

So here's the two different backstories I will show, you don't have to read them, this is just for the ones who are curious to find out.

Anyways, have SEGA'S version of Infinite's backstory:

Infinite's original name before he obtained the artifact of the phantom ruby [an item that gives the person the ability to technically warp reality, create strong illusions, and even see a glimpse of a possible future] , he seemed to have been named "Zero".
Zero was the captain of a mercenary squad, all with six members. Seven for total if counting Zero himself.

Now here's the weird part that SEGA laid out for his backstory:

The reason Infinite became a villain in Sonic Forces is because Shadow the hedgehog just killed Infinite/Zero's mercenary squad for no reason and called him pathetic, weak, and to not show his face ever again. And that is why Infinite wears a helmet that covers up his face and is out for revenge and power. Moving on from his old self that was called pathetic and weak.

(You can also search this cutscene up, this scene came straight from Sonic Forces)

Now you see the flaw with SEGA's version of Infinite's backstory here? Firstly, Shadow is entirely out of character. He doesn't just kill anyone for no reason, he's not a murder. He still serves for the greater good in his own neutral terms. Just as Maria has wanted him to protect the world, give the people a second chance despite what they did back in the Space Colony ARK. The Space Colony ARK is just some place where some group of scientists, or rather some humans lived in space in a large structure built kind of like a spaceship. That's where they were creating all of these powerful weapons for G.U.N. Which is technically the Sonic universe of the government.

Shadow has reasons to do what he does.

And now secondly, the reason for Infinite being a villain due to being called weak and pathetic by Shadow is just poorly written- no wonder why people use the term "edgy" for this specific character.

Despite his poorly written backstory, he is a character with the ability to warp reality. Look, he was just the perfect candidate for filling out the plot holes of the Flora Foundry AU that I'm still developing-
Anyways, here's my personal design for him in the AU.
This is him after the event of Sonic Forces by the way.
It's still not his official design though. Some changes may occur but hey, I think I'm starting to get a hang of drawing Mobians here at least.

Now without a further a do, to those who are interested, here is my version of Infinite's backstory I have come up with:
———————————————————————
Just like in the original backstory, Infinite's old identity/name is Zero. He is still the captain of a mercenary squad and just like in the original eventually teams up with Eggman to change the world.
And before Zero meets Shadow, he goes along with his mercenary squad to raid many bases and engage in countless of many direct combat to help along with Eggman's plans.
But as this plan continues, Zero gets hurt in some way, perhaps his arm while trying to save one of his squad members. This injury didn't start as bad at first but it gets progressively worse the more Zero engaged in combat and swinging his arms around while raiding certain areas that Eggman has ordered the squad to. Eventually his squad members insist to let his injured arm rest so it can heal. But Zero, being the captain of the mercenary squad just shrugged the injury off as this continued on.

But each battle, Zero's injured arm that he keeps worsening, stubborn to just let his arm rest and not having enough patience to just let it heal for weeks, it was especially hard to take breaks when Eggman is constantly ordering you to work by raiding different areas and yelling at you every now and then. But he needed to do this to make that vision he saw from touching that phantom Ruby that Eggman possessed to come true. So he simply just ignored Eggman's rather rude attitude.
His squad members starts to doubt his responsibility and sense as being a leader since no matter how many times they try to tell him to let his arm heal and step back form battle, Zero refuses to stop and rest. He didn't want to back up from a battle. And as time went on, the squad members were thinking of replacing Zero with a second in command of the squad in case something bad happens to Zero who is their captain. They were starting to think that they were being led by a captain who was too careless and rash of themselves. They even say things like: "What's going to happen if you're unable to operate sir?" Or "you need to rest instead of using that useless arm irrationally in battle"
During in battles around this time, Zero's injured arm has worsened so much to the point where there were instances when his own Squad members had to help him in avoiding getting killed.

Zero obviously took all of this as an insult over time due to it being so frequent. His squad never seems to stop talking about replacing him just so he can rest. For Zero, he imagined that his squad thought he wasn't strong enough to lead and protect them all, that he couldn't bare all of this pain coming from one injury. That he was useless so he was someone that needed to be helped.
He didn't want to show any weakness, no faltering.
He wanted to show them that he was a tough leader who doesn't give up. What he didn't realize that he was overdoing it to the point it was hurting him physically...
Eventually, his squad does manage to convince him to stay back. Which Zero stayed with Eggman to inspect the Phantom Ruby while his squad were to detect some special artifact, a chaos emerald from a nearby area.

Unfortunately, the chaos emeralds that Zero's squad tracked down was with Cream, a bunny who can use her ears to fly wandered off somewhere in the neighborhood, following a Chao who gifted her the chaos emerald as a gift.
What was meant to be a blessing became a curse.

As the mercenary squad gained up on Cream to receive the chaos emerald, yes they did get into a fight but even with Cream's trained Chao, "Cheese", they were outnumbered and were held captive.

Also at that very moment Shadow stumbles upon "Vanilla" , Cream's mother who seemed to be worried. Shadow just came by to fulfill a small promise that he was gonna spend time with Cream or whatever reason he may have for being in Cream's neighborhood in the first place.
With his heightened senses, Shadow was able to find Cream in no time due to her screaming out a cry a bit earlier before she was silenced.
As the mercenary squad was thinking of using her as some form of profit once receiving the Chaos emerald, Shadow enters, seeing this scene. And seeing someone, Cream, a young child that may or may not have reminded him of Maria has caused him to be in a small fit of rage inside as he immediately took action to rescue cream while also trying to take care of the mercenary squad. But obviously he wasn't going to kill any of them either.

To make this shorter, Shadow is able to bring Cream to safety, one of the squad members tries to use the chaos emerald but fails and Shadow steals it instead. And due to the squad being too close to Cream's neighborhood, he reports all of the six of them away and just as he was about to teleport himself away, the squad members were so highly trained that they were able to attack Shadow before he was able to teleport away using the chaos emerald. They just kind of all attacked him at once as he was distracted by multiple well trained targets.

One of the squad members, seeing that Shadow seems to regenerate himself by small cuts and such uses the radio to warn their squad mates that they were gonna add in a land mind (a bomb) just behind Shadow as they kept him busy. The rest of the squad however didn't hear all of the clear instructions of this plan due to the Chaos emerald's energy interfering with the radio frequencies.

So, it turned out as a disaster.

The squad member, assuming that his team has heard and is just really trying their best to distract Shadow and prevent him from using the chaos emerald, they activated the landmind by placing behind Shadow who was still fighting the other five skilled squad members,  managed to grab the squad member who placed the bomb and at the time accidentally steps on it and everything just explodes, causing a wreck through the the ground and making everyone fall though.

Shadow tried to use the chaos emerald to teleport himself and everyone else who was falling since again, he wasn't just going to let anyone die a brutal death but due to all the dust and rocks falling on him in such a immediate amount of time, despite his abilities, he wasn't able to react on time as everyone practically gets smushed on the ground...or it would've been everyone if Shadow wasn't immortal.
Shadow being the ultimate life form and having immortality, survives though he was also covered in some of the squad member's blood due to some of the squad member's heads being absorbed crushed to pancakes and rhetorical blood just squirted out towards to Shadow's direction.
Shadow, used to seeing many deaths before yet also feeling slightly sorry for the lives that lost worthlessly tries to clean up the mess and as this happens, Zero, having gained courage and managed to active the phantom Ruby the moment his squad member called him that they needed his help and leadership during the battle with Shadow, has tracked their location and is instantly hit by the smell of iron, blood. And he just stands by the collapsed scene filled with dirt, blood, and freshly gorey corpses of his comrades and one standing just amongst them was Shadow, standing amongst his dead squad members. Some of their heads crushed and creating a large puddle underneath rocks, some bodies completely dismantled...and the only person breathing alive that Zero could see was Shadow.

His eyes widened as he slightly stepped back, his eyes on the corpses then at Shadow, starting to shake from the gorey scene unraveled in front of him as a clear picture form in his head:
Shadow just massacred his squad.

Though in reality it was just a big misunderstanding, Shadow didn't exactly mean anyone to die in the first place, he was just trying to bury the people that were lost from the landmine but Zero just came at the wrong time as Shadow was then again attacked by Zero. Shadow did try to reason with Zero briefly but Zero wasn't having it before Shadow sighs and using the chaos control and teleports away.

Zero looks among his comrades corpses, blood spattered everywhere as he slowly creeps further into the area and there's a large blood of puddle which he sees his own face, a face of a jackal, just like his dead squad. But also, the face of a captain who failed to protect his squad...his squad members were proved right, he was useless.
Unable to look at himself anymore without being reminded of his dead squad, his grief slowly turning to anger as realization came that his squad was right, he was useless and he wasn't able to protect them all.
Then those last things that his squad has been telling him for weeks, reminding him of various ways how he was too weak to even be able to be the captain he was supposed to be. So he suddenly just shouts out of anger, trying to block all of those memories of his squad bringing him down and down again out of spite.
This mixture of sadness her anger that boiled and intertwined within him made him feel rather conflicted.
But there was no where else left to turn now, the only thing he had was the future he's seen the Phantom Ruby reveal to him. so of course, if he wanted that future to come true, he goes straight back to Eggman and continue on with the plan to conquer the world.

His sanity has also waned as time went on due to him using the activated Phantom Ruby to create illusions of his dead squad mates as he starts to use these illusions to help him in various situations during Eggman's missions. But every time when he created his squad member's illusion selves, he was reminded of the incident that happened. And due to his mind also affecting the way how the illusions are created, the illusions of his squad members that he created was calling him "weak", "useless" "pathetic" in many various harsh ways. He didn't know how to fully control the phantom Ruby, it was still experimental. But these simple words formed into harsh sentences and wordings, the words that he thought his squad was trying to tell him before when his arm was injured, this just boiled up his anger until he finally snapped and killed off all his squad member's illusions savagely eventually. No more illusions of them was created since then.

After that, he decides to move on from his past, from his old identity of "Zero" and renamed himself as "Infinite" as we know of today. He wears this helmet/mask now, to not be reminded of his past self, to be a different person, to hide his face, the face that he despised looking at the most.

And he still believes that Shadow has massacred his squad to this day....and one day, he will not let anyone bring him down again.

Little did Infinite know that this power he obtained...made him feel like he had to use it all the time, it was literally a part of him now since the gem was fused into his chest. He feels as if though if he was the strongest of them all, he would become someone so powerful, it was nothing compared to the "Zero" person he used to be. Becoming powerful and doing anything in his will to make the vision he's seen with the phantom Ruby come true, he believed that this was the way to do it.
To become someone that you weren't.
Because as long as you were someone else, someone exceptional, powerful, what's the guilt you have behind it? It's not really you after all, it's just the person wearing the mask that's doing all of the wrong doings.
The people wouldn't blame the so called innocent Zero for all the murders and torture he's committed, only Infinite. Because that's the only name they known him of.

So then on, his path of villainy starts....

———————————

And that was it for my version of Infinite's backstory that I'm gonna apply in Flora Foundry AU. It's not perfect and of course it can always be tweaked. But this is the backstory I'm gonna use in the sake of not using the backstory that SEGA cooked up for him-

Anyways, that was a bit long but uhhh for those who did eventually end up reading it, congrats! I really tried my best to fix his backstory and character here since I don't like the terms of characters being called "edgy" or some form of that to define them. So I created this version of Infinite's backstory in a way that he's a genuine character with reason and one with high pride.
He's not gonna be an easy character to write but I might as well try at least.

Soooo basically in summary:
Zero's squad starts to doubt him when he doesn't take a moment to let his arm rest in battles.
Eventually does take a break where his squad is set off to find a chaos emerald.
Encounters Cream with a Chaos emerald and helps her captive to use her in some form to gain profit as well.
Shadow comes in and rescues Cream but in the middle of it, the Squad attacks him which ends up with the explosion accident where all Zero's squad dies in a landmine.

Zero comes and sees Shadow covered in the splotches and smell of his squad's blood and thinks that Shadow killed them.

This being a misunderstanding and Zero not listening, soon slowly going absolutely insane led to the chain of events that's gonna happen in Sonic forces.
