I do not own Devil May Cry and Persona, only the OCs that will appear in this story and the concept were inspired by 'Lesson Time: Never follow your teacher home' in 'Vergil's one-shots' by ZerlinaQuinn. So, I hope this turns out okay... now enjoy my guild.

The trio continues through the hallway as they cut away all of the shadows that are in their way. Vergil just nonchalantly slashing through the shadows as if they were nothing to him... oh wait, they are!

Jerome thrusts one shadow with spear and spins it a bit as he stabs the other one behind him with ease.

Bucky throws his dagger into one eye and he jumps into the shadow as he grabs the dagger out of their eye aggressively as he did a back-flip as he lands on another shadow and does the exact same trick, where he lands on the floor and walks up to the others.
"I think that's all of them in this room," Bucky said.
"Good," Vergil replied as he sheathed his blade, "Now, we must move on with the pursue,"
"Right, Dragon," Bucky replied.

The two continues running with Jerome falling behind, where he starts walking slower and slower as his face starts to turn pale a bit and his eyesight become a bit fuzzy as he tries to catch up, but somewhat struggling.

"You deserve death..."
"H-Huh? Who's there?!" Jerome thought in shock as he starts hearing a voice.
"You are worthless... you are nothing but a catalyst of destruction and a ticking time bomb..."
"H-Hey shut up!" Jerome thought.
"Don't tell me you forgot how you tormented me...?"
"Wait... Cara...?!" Jerome thought as he suddenly starts coughing as he collapsed, causing a bit of a noise that Vergil and Bucky heard.

The two stop their track as Bucky screams "Lancer!" while they rush to Jerome's aid. Vergil notices his skin got paler, his breathing got faster and even noticing sweating as well as excessive coughing.
"What happened?!" Bucky asked in shock.
"C-Cara..." Jerome coughed, much to the two users' surprise.
"Cara?" Vergil asked in shock, "What about her?"
"I...I... ugh!" Jerome's coughing starts to get worse and even quite serious.

"Lancer!" Bucky shouted, "We need to get out of here,"
"But what about the mission?" Jerome asked before he starts coughing violently.
"We literally have two weeks before shit goes down," Bucky reminded him, "So we have plenty of time here! Now, let's go back!"
"Agreed," Vergil agreed, "Let's go back,"

Jerome just pouted before he starts coughing again as the trio go back to the normal world.
