I do not own Devil May Cry and Persona, only the OCs that will appear in this story and the concept were inspired by 'Lesson Time: Never follow your teacher home' in 'Vergil's one-shots' by ZerlinaQuinn. So, I hope this turns out okay... now enjoy my guild.

Vergil enters a different class with a completely different set of students, where he was suddenly thrown a ball of paper at his head, much to his annoyance.
"... As much as I wish I brought my Yamato... I have to stay calm..." Vergil thought as he closes his eyes and walks to his desk as he slams his books, catching his students' attention, "I am Mr Sparda, as you all well-aware. I'm going to teach you literature,"
"Oi! Aren't you that old man I saw two days ago?!" The same redheaded skateboarder called out.

"..." Vergil takes a deep breath as he looks through the register, "... Casey Archer..."
"Yeah?"

Vergil throws back the paper at the boy, making him fall to his chair while everyone gasped in shock.
"H-Hey! Do you know who my sister is?!" He complained.
"Don't know and don't care," Vergil replied, "Anyways, back to the lesson. Today, we will learn about a poem called Dante's Inferno..." "Why...?!"

Vergil takes a deep breath and starts reading the literature textbook.
"Go to page fifty-nine," Vergil told him, "The story is epic poetry written by Dante Alighieri who is an Italian writer during the Roman time,"
"Just tell us the story!" A student yelled.
"... Do you want detention?"
"N... no..."
"Then shut up!" Vergil shouted, "Anyways, let's start with the context; Dante, like I said, was Italian AKA Roman, meaning he really dislikes the Greeks, especially the ones who was involved in the Trojan war, and looks up to many Roman historical figures, so it's extremely biased, especially since his main character is... himself,"

"So, basically a self-insert fanfiction?" A girl pointed out.
"If you want to see it that way, then sure, why not?" Vergil shrugged, "Keep those contexts in mind. Now, the story starts with the author wanting to climb a mountain, but considered unworthy and his path was blocked by a lion, a she-wolf and a panther. He suddenly meets Virgil, who is a Roman poet and Dante's role model,"

He starts cringing a bit, since his name is Vergil, like Virgil, but spelt a tiny bit differently.
"I am so glad none of my students knows my first name," Vergil thought and explains, "Virgil is sent by Dante's deceased girlfriend, Beatrice, to assist him. He takes him to hell itself to help him get to the mountain and become worthy,"

A student puts his hand up, which he notices.
"Yes?"
"Why did they go to hell, of all places?" The student asked.
"Because... to make him worthy," Vergil answered unsurely, "Anyways, they go through the eight parts of hell where the sinners who are Greek heroes, thieves, lustful people, non-Christians and others. Remember? Extremely biased by context, but in the end, they made through the Inferno and end up in the Purgatory. Your tasks are to read through the story and once you're done, answer some of the questions in the book," "I just want to get this over with because I do not want my students to make any jokes about my name..."
