Dream...

I do not own Devil May Cry and Persona, only the OCs that will appear in this story and the concept were inspired by 'Lesson Time: Never follow your teacher home' in 'Vergil's one-shots' by ZerlinaQuinn. So, I hope this turns out okay...now enjoy, my ninja clan.

Vergil opens his eyes and saw his room is completely different, he looks down and saw he is wearing a blue traditional samurai kimono, white socks and samurai sandals. He is laying on the floor and saw he is in a blue-coloured dojo with two very mysterious-looking people in front of him; a middle-aged man and a young woman.

The old bizarre-looking man with a long nose, pointy ears and bulging, bloodshot eyes. He wears a black suit with white gloves as he is sitting with his legs crossed and his fingers are laced together as he is sitting comfortably in a dark blue pillow with a Japanese short table with Rider-Waite deck and the woman next to him.

The woman is very beautiful with her long white hair reaching to her waist, yellow eyes and pale skin. She wears a blue hairband with a butterfly accessory on it, a blue kimono with a dark blue waistband, blue socks and samurai sandals.

Vergil stands up and walks towards them out of pure curiosity, then the man looks at him with a wide and creepy smile appeared on his face, making Vergil step back a bit and on-guard.
"Doeth not art alarmed. Thou art fast asleep in the real world," The woman told him, making him ease up a bit and decides to play along for now. "Thou art a guest withal an intriguing destiny."

Vergil sighs, sit down on a pillow and cross his legs to a more comfy position while looking at the two with suspicion.
"Welcome to the velvet room," The man greeted him in a strange polite manner, "my name is Igor and this place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter... it is a room where only those who are bound by a 'contract' may enter..."
"So, that's what that's contract dream about..." Vergil realised as he continues listening to Igor out of pure interest.
"It may be that such a fate awaits in the near future," Igor told him, "Now then...Why don't you introduce yourself...?"
"...Vergil...Vergil Sparda," He introduced himself to the man, hoping to keep this conversation going.
"Hm...I see," Igor said, "Now, let's take a look into your future, shall we?"

Igor then puts his hand on the table where a sudden glow appeared and then disappears, Igor looks at Vergil again and asks, "Do you believe in fortune telling?"
"...No...I honestly think it's nothing but hogwash," Vergil told him in a blunt and sterned manner.
"I see..." Igor simply said as he releases a deck of tarot cards on to the table from his hand, catching Vergil off-guard despite keeping a straight face with sightly widen eyes.
"I seeth that we caught thy attention," The woman spoke again in a soft-spoken tone, which Vergil ignored that remark and continues listening to the man.
"Each reading is done with the same cards, yet the result is always different..." Igor told him with an added chuckle, "Life itself follows the same principles, doesn't it?"

Igor then flipped a random card and reveals a card with a tower collapsing.
"Hm...The Tower in the upright position represents an immediate future, where it seems a terrible catastrophe is imminent," Igor told him, where Vergil responded with no reaction, which the woman noticed.
"It would seem thou art not upset by this," The woman pointed out.
"Like I said, fortune-telling is nothing but hogwash to me," Vergil repeated himself.
"Well, the card indicates the beyond that is..." Igor flips another card with a heart in it, "The Lovers, in the upright position. The card represents 'emotions' and 'connection'...very interesting indeed. It would seem a misfortune will befall you as well as a new development will be imposed upon you as well."
"...A new development?" Vergil asked with one eyebrow raised in confusion, "What type of development are we talking about?"
"In the coming days, you will be able to return here," Igor told him, "The coming year will be a turning point in your destiny...If this catastrophe is not stopped and the development does not take place, all will be lost forever. My duty is to provide assistance to our guests to ensure that does not happen."

Then, Igor magically makes all of the tarot cards disappear with a swing of his arm and Vergil turns his head to the woman.
"Who is this woman?" He asked bluntly, which caught the woman off-guard, but not Igor.
"Ah! My apologies, I have neglected to introduce you to my assistant," Igor remembered as he then turns his head to her as well, "This is Agatha. She is a resident of this place, like myself."
"Mine name is Agatha...it's...it's a pleasure to meet thou, guest..." the woman named Agatha introduced herself quietly.
"She will accompany you on your journey," Igor told him, "We shall attend to the details another time."
"Excuse me!" Vergil blurted out as he glares at Igor as he stands up, "I demand you to answer all of my questions right now!"
"Until then, farewell..." Igor responded, ignoring his threat.
"Wait I-"

Then...everything turned black and fades away as he is getting back to reality...

A/N - Here's Igor and my OC, Agatha! For the people who don't know, Igor is a very important recurring character in the Persona franchise with a role that will explain later on for the people who doesn't know. To be honest, with the tarot cards thing, I was stuck between Empress and Lovers, but I decide to pick Lovers as it focuses on emotional bonds and also because it's ironic too. I hope you enjoy this book and if you did, leave a comment and have a nice day, my ninja clan. Kuno out!
