*Third Person POV*

"TV static is shown as the frequency was being tuned into a video feed. Manuel is seen with only the right side of his face being shown. After a few attempts of adjusting the cameras angle he takes a step back to see if the video was clear. The Quarantine room is revealed to be the background."

Manuel: Alright Perfect!

"Manuel takes a couple more steps away and smiles widely as he stares blankly toward the camera admiring his work. This moment passed as quickly as it came as he remembers his assignment at hand."

Manuel: Right...what was the assignment again?

"Manuel walks off screen as he reads a note mumbling what the note says under his breath as the video feed cuts to another scene where Manuel is standing in the middle of the room, note in hand as he's now has his back facing the door behind him."

Manuel: This seems odd but hey can't argue with my superiors right? I got this!

"Manuel crumbles up the note and throws the now crumbled note into a basket nearby."

Manuel: Yes! Ten Points! (Realizes his mistake) Oh wait I might need that still.

"The video feed cuts again as Manuel is now in the front of the room and he clears his throat trying to start speaking to the camera."

Manuel: Hi! (Clears throat) Hello! My name is Manuel Estrada. I am recording this video for the CDC and the Ministry of Health in order of James Nakamura, the head director of the C.R. program and currently an active doctor of Seito General Hospital. This is a self introduction video that is required for new recruits to C.R. and will be sent to the Ministry of Health and the CDC for review. (To himself) I wonder if Chouno and Yumizuki had to do this as well.

"Manuel reads the crumbled note further and becomes bewildered."

Manuel: "Explain when and how the initial exposure lead to your awakening to your Persona. Explain how you were infected and how you interacted with your shadow self." Umm huh...Well this is a hard one....

"The video feed cuts again as Manuel is now pacing around the room wondering back to the time when he was infected initially."

Manuel: Man this is difficult...hmmm...well my case is kind of different...Nakamura- I mean Doctor Nakamura claims that I got infected by the virus due to a blank gashat that appeared in my room the first night I appeared here....(To himself) No...there's no way I could say that...

"Manuel goes ahead and covers the camera lens as he mutters to himself."

Manuel: Nakamura says I need to keep that a secret...

"The video feed cuts again as Manuel is now in an office chair spinning around thinking about his next words carefully. He stops spinning as he hears the door behind him open. He does a little twirl in the chair as he locks eyes with Luna Yumizuki."

Manuel: Oh...hi.

Luna: Hi. What are you doing?

Manuel: The self introduction video thingy. Nakamura said I have to record one for the CDC and the Ministry of Health. Something about "Security protocol"? Whatever that means.

Luna: I see and that?

"Luna points at the office chair that Manuel was seated in. Manuel gives a nervous smile."

Manuel: Yeah...I've been trying to find the right words to say. A lot of details about how I was infected is still a mystery so I'm just trying to figure out a story to tell about it. You know since Nakamura wants this on the down low.

Luna: Should you really be leaving it on record like this then?

Manuel: Don't worry I'll edit it then give it to Nakamura.

Luna: Okay...guess I should leave you to it...

"Luna turns around as Manuel continues spinning in the chair slowly. Luna looks back nervously almost contemplating her next words."

Luna: If you need help I could-

Manuel: I could manage on my own.

"An awkward silence passes in the room as Luna takes a step back and nods as she proceeds to leave the room. The door closes behind her as Manuel faces the camera."

Manuel: I can't fully explain it but...I should keep them at arm's length.

"The video feed cuts and shows Manuel continuing to the video while holding up the crumbled note."

Manuel: Since my memory is a bit foggy on how I was initially infected I'm just gonna move on with the topics on here.

"Manuel starts reading out loud from the note."

Manuel: "Explain what is a Persona as well as introduce your own Persona. Explain your game ability as well as what game it is from." Easy enough...

"Manuel clears his throat as he starts his explanation."

Manuel: A Persona is the physical manifestation of a person's inner psyche. Subconsciously we all harbor metaphorical masks and when we're faced with difficult times we use these masks to face those trials head on. That's what a Persona is.

Manuel: When we're faced with our Shadow otherwise known as the mask that harbors all of the darkest parts of a person's psyche or in this case our "Sin" if we're able to accept the sin that we've committed in our hearts only then a Persona comes into a physical form.

Manuel: "Game ability"? Umm oh! Right! Every Persona is associated with a game that the user had played at least once or twice in their life. My Persona is named "Aspiring Emperor, Hope" which I just call "Hope".

"Manuel takes out his Golden gashat and show it to the camera."

Manuel: My game is called "Hope of Heaven" the game is where you play as an Angel fighting off demons from getting to heaven. In this game the Angel you play as has skill called "Moon Barrier" which protects you from attack being launched at it. My Persona just so happens to have that exact same ability. What else...I think I'm almost done...

"Manuel takes a look at the note as his eyes widen."

Manuel: "What is your sin?" Huh....I....don't know how to really say it to be honest. Umm I guess if I have to say my sin is that I-

"A phone ringtone interrupts Manuel while he was speaking. He nervously laughs as he gets out his phone and answers it."

Manuel: Hello....? Hey....no I'm not with Nakamura I'm kind of doing something right now....well what do you want me to do..? Just order out or something didn't Mom and Dad give you a credit card for you to use? Well I need to finish this for my job...(Sighs) fine whatever...

"Manuel hangs up the phone looking stressed while doing so."

Manuel: (Sighs) Why does my own sister treat me like a servant..? Ever since back then she started being like this...

"The video feed cuts and picks up where Manuel is on the phone again talking to someone different."

Manuel: Yeah if you guys could do that for me....i have to work late at the hospital.....yeah again....Thanks Angel...hey is Anthony there? Again..? Oh....well I hope he's okay...let me know what happens...thanks...

"Manuel hangs up once again as he sighs. The feed cuts again to Manuel on his phone sulking over the last few conversations he had over the phone. Just then Amy walks through the doors and begins to yell at Manuel."

Amy: How hard is it to do an introduction video?! Can you hurry up?!

Manuel: I'm sorry I was just-

Amy: I don't want to hear it Nakamura says that you need to have that video submitted as soon as possible!

"Amy leaves as Manuel stares blankly at the note and hangs his head almost like he was ashamed of himself. The video cuts to Manuel taking a deep breath and smacking himself lightly on the face to keep himself focused on the task at head."

Manuel: Let's just finish this. (Reads note) "Why do you want to be a Persona Surgeon?" Well that's easy to answer. I was in an accident I don't remember too much of things that happened or even after I recovered but I remember feeling really scared. Almost like I was in a body of water drowning and every time I would get my head up it always felt like I was being dragged down under...that feeling it was....

"Manuel looks away from the camera seemingly appearing bothered by the memory."

Manuel: The point is while I don't remember too much of what had happened that feeling always stuck with me and if I could prevent that from happening to someone else then...I want to do anything in my power to really make a difference one day I'll become an actual doctor but for now being a Persona Surgeon is the next best thing.

"Manuel looks back at the note and sees that he completed all of the prompts."

Manuel: Finished I should definitely get this to Nakamura. Hopefully he could edit it for me.

"The video ends and a black screen could be seen as Nakamura's reflection is seen in it. He takes off his headphones."

Nakamura: (Sighs) I hope he's okay...

"In Manuel's room, Manuel was in the dark while scrolling through his phone. He suddenly gets a call. He answers nonchalantly."

Manuel: Hello..?

Emi: (via Phone) Hi Estrada-san I hope you're having a good evening tonight.

Manuel: Atsuo-san...yeah it's...alright. How are you..?

Emi: (via Phone) I'm good.

Manuel: How could I help you..? Is something the matter?

Emi: (via Phone) No not at all. It's just...

Manuel: Huh..?

Emi: (via Phone) This is gonna sound weird but I just felt this urge to check on you. Are you doing okay?

Manuel: Uhhh wow ummm yeah no I'm alright...

Emi: (via Phone) Sorry I know that this is out of the blue...

Manuel: No I just...I'm not use to someone calling to check on me. It's really nice...

Emi: (via Phone) That's good to hear...I thought I was overstepping boundaries.

Manuel: Not at all. Thanks Atsuo-san...

Emi: (via Phone) No problem Manuel...oh! I mean- uhh!

Manuel: (Laughs) It's fine you can call me "Manuel". I don't mind.

Emi: (via Phone) Okay...listen I wanted to go and check out this new restaurant and I was wondering if you're free tomorrow we could go and I could show you more of the area here.

Manuel: (Smiles) I'd like that. Sure just tell me when and where and I'll be more than happy to go.

Emi: (via Phone) Great! I'll text you the info...well I don't want to keep you awake any longer.

Manuel: Right...see you tomorrow?

Emi: (via Phone) See you tomorrow Manuel...

"The call ends leaving Manuel feeling happy. He smiles widely as he drifts off to sleep."
