It is the first day on set for Shay and she is really worried that her first impression that she leaves on her co-star Tom Hardy will be that of a fangirl wreck but the only way she can find out is to meet him. She is getting her makeup done when Tom sits next to her.

"So you're the new girl I've heard tales about?" Tom says starting the conversation.

"Good or bad?" Shay says with her eyes shut.

"Majority were good" Tom replies

"Well I'll be done soon so we can put the bad tales to rest," Shay says as the make-up artist finalises the make-up.

Shay gets out of the chair then Tom began getting light makeup put on him.

Ten minutes later with the make-up finished the film crew is getting ready to film a fight scene and Shay is really hoping that it will all work. Shay and Tom have to play a married couple as well.

"You remember the line you have to say when the bad guys' break in?" Tom asks as a concerned co-star.

"Yes, why do you have to break in when we are relaxing"

"Good," he says impressed that Shay was able to remember the line

"I also assume you remember the choreography of the scene as well?"

"Yup"

An hour later Shay's cousin brought homemade stuffed pasta and stuffed cheese bread for her but there is too much for one person so Shay decides to share.

"Hope your sharing," Tom says as he takes some

"Well luckily for you I was" Shay replies.

"Restaurant delivery?"

"Nope my aunt made it from scratch and my cousin brought it," Shay says before taking another bite.

Then her phone rang it was her dad. Her dad never calls unless something happens.

"Id better answer give me a sec," Shay answers the phone

"Hello, dad?"

"You need to come home"

"Why?" Shay says concerned for two reasons one being the fact that she is in the process of shooting a new movie and two being the fact that something is wrong.

"Your grandma has 24 hours" her Dad replies

Shay is speechless because of the fact that her grandma was the person that told her to pursue her career in the film industry and Tom can see something is wrong.

"Shay we can talk to the director if you want," Tom says trying to be supportive

"I gotta go home, I'm so sorry"

"I'll talk to the director and let him know that you have to go ok,"

"My grandma has 24 hours"

Tom pulls Shay into a comforting embrace to see if that will help and it helps a little bit

"You know we only officially meet today and we are already friends," Shay says

"You should go, I'll tell the production team you'll be gone for a few days," Tom says realising Shay from the embrace

"I'll let you know what's happening," Shayleigh says.

"Yes that would be a good idea actually why don't I come with you," Tom says coming to the realization that she would need someone to be there for her.

They got to the airport and her grandma was FaceTime her.

"Hey, grandma!"

"Hello, Shayleigh who's the friend?" her grandma asks seeing Tom in the corner of the screen.

"I'm Tom Hardy nice to meet you"

Her Grandma's face lights up because she, for some reason likes him as bane from the dark knight rises.

"He is coming with me because we were filming a new movie together and I got the news and he wanted to support me," Shay says filing her on the reason why Tom is with her.

"Sweetie I'm getting some treatment to see if it works" Shay's grandma informs her optimistically.

"What's the survival rate?"

"1 in every 500"

Shay nodded.

"At least there is a chance," Tom says trying to make Shayleigh happy

"True anyway we should go we've got a plane to catch see you soon," Shay says thinking the worst

She hangs up and sighs. She puts her head on Tom's shoulder.

"Why did this have to happen when we were filming," Shayleigh says wishing things could have worked out better.

They got on the private plane which she reclined back in the chair.

"Thanks for making my Grandma a little happier she is a big fan and I haven't told you but I'm a big fan too," Shay says letting him know.

"You're welcome. I'm glad you both are fans of my work"

"In fact, if it was different circumstances I would be a starstruck fangirl," Shay says

"I've been a fan of yours since your first major box office movie"

Shay is so happy to hear the fact that the one and only Tom Hardy likes her work but she decides not to say anything.
