i wish i could have a place
somewhere in the universe
where all my troubles
would magically
disappear

a place filled with darkness,
not the frightening darkness of assassins
but the soothing darkness of lovers
a place where nothing would really matter

a place full of gleaming stars
with no room for hate or negativity,
only for peace and serenity,
loud of a great silence to replace
the constant noise in my mind

a place that would feel like
a hot bath after an exhausthing day,
the smell of hot pastries in the morning,
a picnic in the grass with my lover,
the sun on my face when i'm alseep

i know it doesn't exist
because that is how life is made
never white or black,
always a mixture of both
and i know pain must be experienced
in order to fully appreciate
the taste of happiness
but it's been a while
that i'm feeling empty
and i almost forgot
its sweet savor
