Lalita Khaeng-Allen and Daonuea Sakchai have been best friends since they were born.

Lalita was one of the most popular girls at West Valley High School while Daonuea was at the bottom of the food chain. But Lalita always made time for him. He was the only person that she knew she could always depend on and she wasn't going to let popularity ruin their friendship. They had been a part of each other's lives for so long that it was hard to imagine a world without each other.

But things start to get complicated when Lalita and Daonuea find themselves having a crush on the same girl—the beautiful Samantha LaRusso. The realization drives a wedge between their friendship when they both start to pursue Sam romantically.

first things first: NAME PRONUNCIATION!!!

lalita is pronounced la-lee-ta and khaeng is pronounced like kang & daonuea is pronounced dow-new-ah. dow is like ow but with a d at the beginning. daonuea means "north star." sakchai is pronounced as sack-chai. chai as in chai latte.
