"Carter, aren't you going to go and get pads?" Alexa asked him. Somehow, her brother had been happier since he started buying them for her and even though she could go and buy them herself now, she didn't want to.

"I got an extra pack last month, remember? I don't need to go until next month," Carter replied, a little morose at the thought which didn't strike him until now.
