Topaz's P.O.V.

With Peridot and I mastery our fusion, I was a trained gem in no time. We directed Mars and the others with ease and could fight as wells as the other crystal gem members. having access to there abilities was nan bonus, making us able to utilize their powers and always have the upper hand while also creating unique weapons.

Though on a peaceful day when Peridot and I found our self not fused we would often think deep thoughts and one deep thought on my mind was the diamonds that I had heard so little off butt hey appeared to have a big impact to everyone else.

Topaz: Who are the diamonds exactly.

I asked Peridot, as I brought over a pale of scraps she was using for one of her gadgets. She had lifted her welding mask and looked up at me with her blow torch still in hand.

Peridot: Well the diamonds are gems like us of course except way bigger. At least as big as this barn.

Topaz: Woah....

I said as I turned to face the barn.

Peridot: Diamonds are the elite gems, in charge of everything and supreme rulers of home world, the most known being Yellow Diamond and Blue Diamond. Pink Diamond is no longer here.

Topaz: I don't understand, why do they want to destroy Earth so much. It's so full of life and it's awesome here.

Peridot: Yellow Diamonds view on this planet is dark. She think it's useless and should be obliterated and she nearly succeeded if we weren't able to stop her cluster in time.

Topaz: Sounds like a lot has happened. I wish I was around back them to help you guys.

Peridot: Your here now and that's what matters. You, to be honest. I had never told you what I used to do before I came to Earth. I was never from here to begin with or a Crystal Gem. Before I was just following order, believing that Yellow Diamonds reason for having me destroy the Earth was for the better and that she was right about it. When I met the Crystal Gems, we were enemies and I didn't understand why they were trying to save this planet. Now, I see the error of my ways. This is more than just a plane. There aren't a lot of planets out there like Earth that you can really call home. I really like it here and it's even better with you.

I stared at Peridot all while she said this without even attempting to hide the blush on her face.

Taking her blow torch and setting it aside, I took her hands in mine and looked deeply into her eyes.

Topaz: I never thought I'd ever understand what it was to be alive but now I do. You give me a meaning to want to always be with and do all I can to make sure you and Earth is safe. On the brighter side, I'm happy to assist the Crystal gems to save the world and who knowns, maybe we were wrong about the mineral cave, what if all those gems are just like me, just waiting to suddenly come to life one day, them when home world does decide to invade Earth, we'll have a whole army of Crystal Gems to defend our home.

Peridot: I also believe that. It would be wonderful to see.

Topaz: We can't have the Diamonds coming along and rung our kids home anyway.

I teased as I pointed to Mars and his other siblings who all varied in size. Mars was very happy about his new siblings and took a liking to them very quickly. They were all flying about and appeared to be playing hide and seek. On a quick glance, I saw Jupiter and Pluto hiding in a bush but Mars found them quickly and started chasing after them.

Topaz: I had always wanted to make a new life with you like the humans did but Steven and his Dad said if was very difficult for a gem to do but then I realized out children are right here in front of us. I hadn't even noticed until now that Mars and the others even have our own gems imbedded into them.

Peridot: Your right. I hadn't even noticed either. I hadn't really fully understood how humans make more of themselves but it's very fulfilling when your able to raise something all your own.

Topaz: I love them and I love you.

Peridot: I love you too.

Peridot said with a smile on her face. I hugged her and ruffled her triangular shaped hair. Soon enough, Mars and the others came over and circled us, trying to get a hug as well. We all laughed. Of all the emotions I've experienced, happiness was definitely the strongest.
