The jasper and peridot still stood there and watched. They defeated the rubies after a little. "Aren't you going to fight?" Amethyst asked. "We will...later when the others get here." Pearl when the peridot said that froze in fear "...others? No! Not again! Not without rose." "We can do it without her" Garnet said "yeah! We can do it. It would be easier if we had the whole army" amethyst said awful cheerful for the situation. Steven's eye light up "what if we used the centipeetle." "Um...maybe not we don't know if it'll turn on us." Pearl said unsure. "It won't I promise I'll train it." They went on for a few minutes till Garnet stoped them and told them to get lion and go to the temple. "Did you forget about us?" Jasper asked. "Hm? Oh no we'll leave you too that and we'll do our own thing." Pearl said. "But when are they coming?" "how long does it take to get here from homeworld? That's how long." They go back to their "bases". The gems sat in a circle on the couch and began planning.
Pearl: "what should we do? They have better weapons than us they have more people than us. Why do they want to come back? The cluster is gone..kinda. there's nothing for them. And the should go back if all they wanted was peridot which they took care of..."
Garnet: I don't know...Maybe they're staying to get jasper. No reason to go to war just to find someone."
Amethyst: "I wasn't there for the first war and I wished I wasn't here for any other war."
Steven: "I had a feeling we would have to fight someone dangerous and big soon."
Lapis: "it was obvious that it was gonna happen"
They all looked at her because it was the first thing she said since peridot poofed.
Steven: "what should we do about peridot? I could try to heal her but I'm not sure I can. We need help fighting too, Connie could come and fight."
Pearl: "You could try. But Connie would be in danger and she's not ready."
Amethyst: "and if she gets hurt her parents will sue and make sure she doesn't hang out with Steven ever again."
Garnet: "so basically no to Connie fighting with."
Steven: "but but she is ready she has skills and and she can help a lot I'll protect her too"
Pearl: "we know you can but still this is different and more complex then you think. Maybe your not ready...we're not even sure you have the same...The same things rose had." Pearl blushed slightly when she said the lasted part.
Steven pouted and said "your shooting down all my ideas their good ones too."
Amethyst: "yeah their perfect ideas why you being so mean pearl?"
Pearl sighed and said "I'm not shooting them down their just not the best."
Garnet: "stop arguing and let's get to planning. It would be easier if peridot was here she knew stuff we need to know."
Lapis: "I'm here. I might know a few things."
Garnet: "then what do you know?"
Lapis: "they would probably send all types of quartz, a sapphire, a few rubies" lapis thinks for a few seconds. "And pr-"
Garnet: "well they don't know that we have a sapphire and Rudy of our own. So they will most likely arrive at the beach so let's put rose's laser light cannons on the beach but first we must get the townsfolk out of the city."
Pearl: "yeah let's do that now."
The group walks out of the temple and go around to each house and business in the town and tell them that they have to leave the city because homeworld gems are coming. Steven called Connie up and told her about what is happening, she was on her way to help. Garnet and pearl set up the laser light cannons, lapis and amethyst finished up helping people get out of the town, Steven unbubbled the centipeetle and quickly trained it, met up with lion and Connie and went to the rest of everyone. "Do you see anything" Steven asked. "Yes there's small dots which look like ships so soon they'll be here." Answered pearl. Garnet yelled so everyone could hear "everyone in your places!"
